let the memories begin campaign goes badly wrong!

There have been a few videos like this... they are kinda funny, although there's something about this one in particular that strikes me as rehearsed or something. It seems to me that the little girl is suppressing a smile at times... but I could also just be reading into it.

I guess I also don't "get" why people want to tape these reactions and put them on the Internet in the first place. Then again, there's a lot of things I don't get about stuff people put on the Internet...

Who knew Chattanooga was such as fun place (although I have to say it is fun to say)

I also don't understand why people want to place these videos on YouTube. The little girl is clearly upset. Why make the situation worse by letting the whole world see her cry. :confused3

gezz i realy did not like the remarks below the video.

why is any one surprised that a child is upset when it seems they were lied too. told one thing and another thing happens.

Some people just crave attention like a drug. I really feel these social media sites are the worst invention of all time.

I agree with the people who made comments below the videos. These kids don't appreciate what they are being given. It just irks me, as a teacher I see it everyday. Kids just don't appreciate anything that they are given. (not all kids but a larger amount every year)

Call me mean but if my kids reacted that way I would tell them they were staying home and that their dad and I would go alone.

I do have to agree though if you tell a kid you are going one place they DON'T like change at all! I think that is why the surprises go over much better when they say to the kids, how about if we go to the airport right now and go to Disney World.

I would rather go to Disney World than Chattanooga. But that's just me... :rolleyes1

The parents must have been a bit annoyed. I certainly would be! But putting it up on the internet was a little bit weird...

I agree 100%. The girl's reaction is not surprising since (undoubtedly) her parents have been hyping up Chattanooga for a while. Now she's found out she's been lied to about a destination she was excited to see. She probably hasn't even processed that she's going to WDW, only that she's NOT going to Chattanooga.

Last Christmas, my brother, his family, my folks, and ourselves were all going to spend Christmas at our place in Arizona. However, the massive spike in airfares to Phoenix and the inclusion of DDP made a trip to WDW only $1000 more so we switched destinations. My brother and his wife never told their children until they actually landed in Orlando. Their kids didn't believe them and kept asking when they were getting on the plane for Arizona right up until they past through the gates to WDW. They were very happy with the change, however they were also very confused as to why their parents "lied" to them for 3 months :lmao:

As for the commentors on the video, well many people like to hide behind the anonymous nature of the internet and they feel superior to everyone else with no real understanding of what they watched. Like I said, the little girl is not upset because she's going to WDW, she's upset because she's NOT going to Chattanooga. Perfectly understandable from the child's point of view.
