DH and myself are going to WDW April 28th-May 2nd and since the 2 boys are staying home we're treating ourselves and staying at the Yacht Club. We've been to WDW in the past and have stayed at the All-Star Sports two times and Coronado Springs once. This is going to be our 16 year anniversary celebration, probably should have celebrated at 15 years, but our 12yr.old broke his leg in 2 places.

I'd like to hear some wonderful things about this resort. I'm already glad to be so close to Epcot and the Flower and Garden Show. I'm hoping to sit by Stormalong Bay and have a few drinks and relax a bit.

Thanks for any input!

Something wonderful?

LOCATION!!!

I think this location is especially nice for an adult trip. All of the dining and nightlife being so close will give this trip a totally different feel than your previous stays.

It's great to be able to stroll to Epcot or the Boardwalk, or catch a quick boat to MGM.

I think you'll love the YC.:D

Apart from location and SAB another wonderful thing about the YC has to be the yachtsmans steakhouse. We ate there 3 times on our last trip.
Plus one of my best memories of our summer trip was sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch at the yacht club with the fireworks going off at Epcot after a stroll around the boardwalk followed by a glass of wine at Marthers vineyard.
Enjoy your trip.

We stayed at the Yacht Club in September and the staff was great. They were able to check us into our room early (12:30-1ish).

We had vip viewing of Illuminations for Saturday night but that was the only night that had SpectroMagic. We asked about changing the night of our vip viewing. One of the managers took care of everything.

One of the best things that happened to our group came from a bell hop. My sister and her husband had tickets to Circus Ole (sorry if the sp is wrong). They went to get a cab and the bell hop was not sure if they would make it in time. He drove them there himself.

We only had a couple of complaints. The buses were slow, we could only get milk for our one year old in the mornings and no towel animals. This was not a very child friendly resort. Great for an anniversary.

I've never stayed at the YC, but on my last trip I took a visit to all of the EPCOT resorts, just to check them out.

We visited the Swan, Dolphin, YC, BC & Boardwalk. The YC was by far the most appealing to me! My wife and I want to stay at each resort throughout our lives and the first time we stay at an EPCOT resort, we will definetly go w/ the YC!

Hope you have a great time!

I completely forgot about the Yachtsman Steakhouse. I have to agree with Danauk, this is probably my favorite restaraunt at Disney World. Makes me want to stay there next time!

We LOVE YC. This will be our 3rd visit staying there. We always debate staying somewhere else, but never do!!
The walk to Epcot is great and you can pretty conveniently get the Monorail to MK from there. There is also a great pathway to MGM if you don't mind a little walking.
Try out the Bass Fishing Expedition on the Lagoon, very relaxing!
Also the Mouse Boats are lots of fun!
Yachtsman is probably my favorite restaurant...and Beaches & Cream has great milkshakes. There's also a Kids Club at BC.
Stormalong Bay is great for the kids and the Boardwalk at night is lots of fun.
Plus you can see Epcot Fireworks at night.

Spent Christmas at the Yacht Club-I posted a review which is buried a few pages back. We had a magical stay - this is now our favorite resort! Have a great time!

We stayed there in 2002. We loved it. The rooms were great, we loved the location. The only I didnt care for is you share bus service with all the Epcot resorts. It just seems to take so long getting there or somewhere else when you make several stops, lol. But we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Love it.
