<p>Just thought I would bring a touch of snow, cold and winter, along with a
short look around the outside here, to all our DIS friends in the south or other parts of the world where winter is not such a reality, LOL</p>
<p><img src="http://www.dmurphydis2.com/homeJan2004/DSCN2127.jpg" width="599" height="450"></p>
<p>We have lots of bird feeders in the back yard and the squirrels sure do make
it enjoyable to watch.  Here, if you can see it, a crafty and ingenious
squirrel is standing on a suet feeder (maybe you can see it with the green bars
on it) and leaning WAY over to the seed feeder for a bit of a meal.  They
are a hoot to watch their antics.  But it's not like we don't feed the squirrels too....</p>
<p><img src="http://www.dmurphydis2.com/homeJan2004/DSCN2130.jpg" width="599" height="450"></p>
<p>...that little 'house' on the side of the tree always has a <a href="http://www.wildbirdsuets.com/squirrel.htm">squirrel logs</a>  and they love them</p>
<p><img src="http://www.dmurphydis2.com/homeJan2004/DSCN2131.jpg" width="337" height="450"></p>
<p>A look down the street from our front porch.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.dmurphydis2.com/homeJan2004/DSCN2132.jpg" width="337" height="450"></p>
<p>And the other way, here one of our nice blue spruces, about 25 feet or so tall.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.dmurphydis2.com/homeJan2004/DSCN2133.jpg" width="599" height="450"></p>
<p>Again, out back, looking up from our patio door up into the yard, bar-b-q on
left.  We do give it unburied as we do use it all year round.  A bit
of snow in front of it though.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.dmurphydis2.com/homeJan2004/DSCN2134.jpg" width="599" height="450"></p>
<p>On over to the neighbors way.  Vince's Doc loves to run in the snow, biting it all the time, LOL.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.dmurphydis2.com/homeJan2004/DSCN2135.jpg" width="599" height="450"></p>
<p>And then here, up in the yard, looking back down to the patio.  Boy, I
have to move that latest pile in front of the Q.  Maybe burgers or steak
tonight!!!!  That's it, a short one. :faint:</p>
<p>Stay warm, folks!!!!!!</p>

Nice Dan! :) No more snow for me, there's plenty here!

Hi Dan.....
I am experiencing the same stuff....... Yuck.
The only snow I enjoy anymore is the snow on mail street during MVMCP.:hyper:

Very nice Dan ::yes::
I just love the snow, but we have not gotten much more than a dusting since all the snow warnings have gone into effect. Btw we also use our grill year round. :teeth:
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Great pictures Dan!!!:bounce: The one of the blue spruce really brought back memories for me! We used to have a blue spruce, just about that size, in our front yard when I was growing up. It had to be removed years ago when the root system starting to die and it looked more like the Leaning Tower than a spruce.:earseek:

waaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

I want some snow too!!! We never get snow!!! We do get the squirrels though, I'll try to get a picture of our little black squirrel if I can catch him at the feeder....hes so precious!!!!

Love the pictures Dan, but I wish you would have left the show in Chicago ;) Really love those little squirrels :)

Very pretty pictures, Dan. I know many DISers are sick of the winter weather, but I rarely get to see snow down here.

Krista :)

Dan, this is oh so lovely:D

We are in awe.............it really looks so pretty & so so incredible, so hard to imagine.

Thanks a million for posting them...................cools us down just looking at them............actually feel like reaching into the screen & grabbing a couple of handfulls of that lovely white snow:D

We have a some icing going on here right now, but it's supposed to turn to snow soon.

Nice pics Dan!

I too have many squirrels at my feeders. I have a comic on my refrigerator from "The Born Loser." It shows him coming out to fill his bird feeder with food. He comes out with a very tall ladder because he has the feeder way out of the reach of squirrrels. Then it shows a squirrel flying a helicoptor and landing on top of the feeder. The last frame shows the loser walking away after he threw the ladder and food on the ground in disgust!

Cracks me up!

Believe it or not, I also have deer and rabbits that eat from the ground around my feeders!

Thanks, Dan! That snow looks great! It was HOT here today. I think they said it's supposed to cool off tonight. ;)
