We have never had much of a guest issue at Pop except waiting for buses--people show up out of nowhere when a bus arrives and then try to all join in the line with the one person from their group that was actually waiting in the line. SO aggravating.

Love the pics of the big blue pool!! I really wish they would let guests from Pop try it out, but I totally get why they don't! That Squirt statue is just my absolute favorite!! He's the lock screen on my phone

I loved all of the pictures from your walk around the resort. We took a walking tour of the resort a couple of years ago and intend to do another one when we stay at Pop. Speaking of Pop and your comment about a value resort, I'm so nervous!

Seriously it's a different type of guest.. Let me know what you see and let me know... we may have turned into snobs?!? Trying to maneuver in the food court? ugh. just rude. I saw one woman total knock over an elderly man of course i helped him. and he didn't speak a word of English- not even a GRACIAS or a THANK YOU in any language.. They push pull and so whatever to get what they want. Don't get me started on their bathing suit attire.. So i am curious in what you see and experience.

I am so sorry Mo. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I have been running into more and more ignorant people lately. At Disney and other places. Grown adults grabbing my kid in public, getting into fights at a children's zoo. Charging at me in a parking lot over a parking space. Seriously. I think it's just people have no common sense these days.

Yes there are bad people everywhere yet only at AoA did we experience this behavior. There are out of town-ers at different resorts yet they do not act this way.

Going back to either Deluxe or Moderate. where you feel like your family. never had the disney family feel at AoA. Remember morticia? Never felt welcomed. I want in my bubble!

Ohhhh. Yeah. That's true of any "value" level accommodations through, Disney or otherwise. You'll stumble upon the occasional ignoramus at the Hyatt Regency, but not as many as the EconoLodge. Know what'm sayin'?

News on my Aunt.
First thank you everyone for your prayers and good thoughts!
She is still in the bad hospital. They originally thought they found cancerous tumor in the frontal lobe of her brain. Apparently it's not a tumor.. (yes said in my very best arnold voice)
She did however have a stroke. What we don't know is if this is the first stroke. Or she has had one prior to all this. The stroke may be the reason for the seizures? She is in a very sad state right now. between the cancer now all this it's tough. I am trying just to be there for my Mom. My Cousin and i are supposed to go up there to see her today. As long as i am not called into work.
again I really appreciate all the good vibes from you all!!!

Oh how i miss my battleship!!!
Called yesterday my engine is BLOWN something about a sensor that went bad to the car heated up too much for it to take and POOF it's dead. $4,200.00

Ouch..

Well what can you do? I have to pay it. I do NOT want another car payment.. now i will have a new Transmission-Engine-starter-pumps and many other things which are included in that four thousand. 100,000 mile warranty etc. needless to say i have a new car on the inside. the stuff that matters. it will be another 3 weeks until i get it back.. I cannot tell you how much I MISS IT!

On to the car news, BLECK! My mother's van is old, like 20 something years old but it is her only means of transportation. The last time that it was in the shop, she had to pay over $2,500 to get it fixed but, like you, what's she gonna do? She didn't want another car note. Still praying. So sorry to hear about the car. I agree with not having a car payment. I was in my DH's car two weeks ago taking three of the kids swimming and a deer plowed the side of his car. I was only going 30, and there was a fence next to the road, but it sure did some damage. We were all ok, in fact we had no idea what hit us. I pulled over and saw a deer running through my rear view mirror. I got out to look at the damage to the side of the car and found deer fuzz stuck in the door jam. Thankfully insurance covered it and didn't total his car. We were very worried we'd would have to buy another car. I hope your gets fixed quickly. Does your insurance cover a rental car?

The food court set up at Pop isn't as good now as it was the first few times we stayed there. There used to be four different types of food at four different windows--now it's pretty much the same on both sides (two windows on each side). Still pretty widely spaced apart though, so not too hard to get in and out. There also used to be a bar/lounge that is gone now. They put in more seating instead--not too big of a deal though since they have the Petals Pool bar right outside the doors. And by the way, they make the most delicious poolside drinks. mmmmmmmm.

Anyway! I do like the openness of the seating--never have a problem finding a table, even in the morning breakfast rush or right at dinner time. People don't clean up after themselves though, which I think is SO bizarre. Like, do you have a maid at home that does this for you?? Yes, there are CMs there to spray the table clean and sweep up, but they're not there to actually clear your table. This is not a table service restaurant. Ugh.

In any case--we don't eat a ton of meals at the food court, but we definitely visit a lot of times during our trip to fill our drinks and grab snacks and a couple of quick meals. I find there are plenty of good choices and lots of open seating that make it work for us.

Gosh, for $4,200 bucks, I'm glad they're including all the bells and whistles for you!! My car is starting to act up, and it makes me want to cry because I can't even afford $400 for repairs. Not without cancelling Disney, which AIN'T HAPPENING. So I'm just praying real hard that it holds out on any major issues for a while!

The only thing WEIRD here was the fact it rotates to the front and EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE is staring at you while your eating..

I actually missed out on this last trip. My seat was right past the front and I left right before my table rotated into that area again.

Yep the rash returned..

Ugh! I haven't gotten that rash yet but I did get eaten alive by bugs on this trip. That was the first time that happened to me. Guess I need to add bug spray to the list of things to bring to Disney.

We had breakfast in the room and headed out to the pool.

I've never had a problem but as you know I rarely am at the resort and I don't spend time at the pools. I think the only rude behavior I did see this last trip was someone walking through the resort smoking.

I can't believe how fast they transformed Epcot from F&W to Christmas! Wish we could have stayed just one more day to see it!

I blame all the health and safety signs everywhere. They make it too easy to be both stupid and alive. Before health and safety all these ignorant people would have tried to fly in Superman capes, or straightened their hair in the shower, or danced on rides, or tried to pet the wrong thing at the zoo, and nature would have taken its course.

I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt, I hope things improve soon. Having had experience of "bad" hospitals with my Mum, it does certainly increase the worry factor in what is already an upsetting situation. Hugs and prayers to you and your family.

Sorry about your car. Three weeks is a long time to be without your car and for that price you could get a good used car up here. When I was in college my mom borrowed my car and the engine blew. Luckily, my dad and brother were able to replace it for me. It didn't take that long but my dad always had to get stuff done yesterday.
My daughter and her husband just got back from Disney. They stayed at the POP and agree that the food court and AOA is better. Thhey had a great time but had your luck with rain. It was hot and then cold and rainy.

OMG! That’s scary! Bambi can do some serious damage! Glad no one was hurt! No! I do NOT want another car payment!! NOT AT ALL. I haven’t checked into it yet as I didn’t think it would take this long!

ALL pool side drinks are YUMMY! Nothing beats it! Do you run into the nasty people? Like we do EVERY TIME we are at AoA?

AoA is PACKED to the brim with people. Maybe AoA is more popular resort then I thought?

The few times we did sit in the Landscapes of Flavor it was OK. The doors are LOUD and the gush of air is COLD!

AoA is a beautiful resort no doubt! The guests there are another story. Not the resorts fault!

AoA does have great food! I can’t compare as we never made it over to Pop. I went to the bridges and that was about it.. One day I would love to do a resort hop check out everything! Shops/food etc!!!
