my house caught on fire last night i need help!

yes everyone is ok there was a fire last night! I think it was something to do with a propane tank, but no one is sure yet, it could have been electrical. The people two doors down from me - Kevin & Brenda - saw that my next-door neighbours' back porch was on fire! kevin called 911 and brenda ran over to their house and woke them up. they got them out of the house just in time. but when they left their dog went under neath their bed. So anyways... apparently the whole neighbourhood was trying to wake me and my family up. they were all ringing our door bell, knocking on the door and yelling. Finally they decided to break down the door. they ran upstairs. And at 3:15 am I woke up to Police in my room yelling "Get up! Get up! there is a fire next door! we have to get you out of here!!" So i got up and ran down the stairs as fast as i could! When i got outside i couldnt beleive it! the people beside us' house was up in flames! it was horrible! there were people standing all outside in their pajamas. I ran to my aunts house with my puppy and my brother. when we got in i started crying! i could not believe what was happening! The last time i looked back the house was almost burnt to the ground, and kevin and brenda's house was in flames too. the roof was about to fall in. Our house just caught fire as i looked back in tears. I was at my aunts house for a while and then i went back. our house was out but our neighbours was still burning. so was kevin and brendas. it was horrible! so my nana came down with shoes and sweaters for everyone. they broke one of the windows in my house out and stuck a hose through it. i felt so bad, our next-door neighbours just moved in a few months ago... there was a 20-something kid, his parents, and his grandparents. now all their stuff is destroyed. everything. their id, their belongings and their memories - pictures and stuff like that.

They thought their dog was dead because their house was burnt to the ground (all that is left now is their garage, front door, a little of their porch, and their living room... but everything in it is burnt) the dog came running down the street! it was alive but it didnt even look like the same dog. it was originally white but it was grey. they gave it air and water. it was okay!!

THE DAMAGE:

Right next door: house is burnt to the ground. there is barely anything left. there is still some of the lower part of their house, but no roof.

Kevin & Brenda's: The roof is in and the windows are all smashed to get the smoke out.

The house beside them: A little is melted off. no major damage

My House: The ceiling of the laundry room, and the ceiling above the landing on our stairs is fallen down. but we have more water damage than fire damage. everything smells like smoke. And the paint is melted off my mom's car. and the mirror, and the headlight.

Our house has 50, 000 to 60, 000 dollars worth of damage. we will not have a house for 3 WEEKS! Long time, eh? I will either be staying in a hotel with my parents and sister - my brother wants to stay with my nana - or with my nana until school starts. After that I will have to find someone near me in Brooklin to live with. Man, this really sucks!

My house did get the least damage, but we dont have a house for 3 weeks. we are staying with my nana and poppa right now. but when school starts i am going to live somewhere in brooklin (my town). When they saw that their dog was still alive they all stopped crying! i was so happy for them! Drew (the kid) just wants to know what caused the fire. They are such nice people. Why do bad things happen to good people? a friend of mine named matt lives down the street from me and he said the cops were in his house too, making them get out. And a peice of roof fell onto their porch! Later in the day his friends, josh, eddie and mike came over to his house and some of them didnt beleive him and his mom. so they went to go see the fire, then they beleived them.

Everything is going to be alright. all the neighbours were all so helpful! some gave us fruit, others gave us tim hortons' donuts and coffee, other people offered us a place to stay and access to their homes, while others gave us clothes and shoes to wear until it was better. yesterday we went into our house and it wasnt as bad as i thought. but it was still bad. we got clothes, and other things we would need for the few weeks we are out.

P.S. No one was hurt! don't worry!


P.S.S. It was so embarrassing that they couldnt wake us up. apparently the whole neighbourhood was trying.

P.S.S.S. It took the firemen 30 minutes to get there. but they were there when i woke up.

I will post more when we find more damage.

Omg, im sooo sorry. i couldnt amagine that happening here. my sunt burnt her house down once(well her parents, but her and her children where living there at the time cuz of the devorce) and my cousins(they are twins) saved their baby sister and grandfather from the fire.

OMGoodness!!! I am soooooooo sorry to here that!!!! I hope that you get your house back soon. I am very glad noone was hurt but it is still sad about the damage!!
