I am looking for a 25 point contract the has not been a resale purchase. This will be my first dip of a toe into being a DVC member.

If you are not a member and only want 25 points (which is very low and may get you one night per year) then you have no choice but to buy resale.

It’s my understanding that an owner can give or transfer a contract of which the it will not be considered a sale/resale.

@SrBlonde I am not sure what you mean by changing the title of your thread to "Lesson Learned" ... I don't know what you were intending with your question, but wish you all the best, finding those small contracts can be difficult. I don't know why it would matter whether that contract was resale or not originally, as you'd have to buy resale.
