Lesson learned. Need more days in Disney!!! Aug 2010 (NEW 1/20-COMPLETE)

Thanks a lot for your concerns everybody! Hopefully she is graduating this spring, so it'll be the end of that!

The sad thing is, she doesn't even feel remorseful about it. She feels her actions were completely justified.

Oh wow how awful! Good thing you reported it and I'm glad you're okay. Always do whatever you have to to protect yourself!

I wasn't sure if I should report or not, but everybody told me I should. I feel a lot safer now that I did.

How awful Yuki !! Hope she gets her just desserts for that!!!I had a pretty wild Valentines day at second job !! One consumer got bent outta shape at us and that started it another whacked her and the ran away !!:scared1:It was like a Domino effect then they all satrted acting up !! All we could really do is keep thenm seperate until they calmed which they did and at least No Knifes or bricks this time :rotfl2:

Judy has car woes apparently her emergency brake is not working and a friend said it didn't seem like it was even hooked up , she called the dealership and told them and they said well it must have been it passed last year she said YES YOu passed it before I bought it and YOU are fixing it !!!!:rotfl2:So we will see tomorrow !!!

Oh my goodness Rosie, what a riot you had on your hands! I hope nobody got hurt!

I can't believe the dealership gave her an unsafe car! How scary!

Oh my gosh Yuki! I hope you are okay. That was quite the immature thing for her to do. I mean, you can talk these things over without resorting to violence. Wow... some people.... Anyways, good on you for reporting her. I hope she gets what's coming to her!

Yeah, I thought after her slap, she would be walk away. I mean, if someone was really upsetting me, I would just leave, not hang around some more.

Wow Yuki that is crazy! I'm glad you are okay other than probably being shaken up. What a crazy biatch! I can see why you decided to block her, yeesh! I hope the campus police take you seriously and she doesn't get away with it, how immature! Big hugs from Saint Louis!

Awww, thanks Kristina! The police have given her warnings to stay away from the club and from me. The officer that read our statements gave me his card to call if I ever need him. I feel a lot safer with that.

Oh no Yuki I hope you are okay! I can't believe that happened to you! I hope your road to recovery physically and emotionally is a swift one! I will keep you in my thoughts!

Well, I'm still pretty shooken up by it. The thought of bumping into her on campus is pretty stressful. Thanks a lot!

Yuki, what a horrible experience! :scared1: I hope you are all right.

It seems like she was not only unpleasant to talk to online, but also in real life. She appears to be in need of learning how to deal with aggression... I think reporting the incident was exactly the right thing to do. Hitting someone on the head is actually a very dangerous thing to do, I am happy that nothing too bad happened to you. But when I worked as a public prosecutor I saw enough cases of people being severely injured (broken jaw bones etc.) from a plain hit on the head!

Oh my gosh! Well, I'm definitely glad I got away with only some scratches!

Yeah, she definitely has some aggression issues. Apparently, she's seeing a psychiatrist but won't admit she has a problem.

I'm sorry to read that Yuki. I hope you're okay.

I'm much better now, thanks Glenn!

Sorry to read about your horrible confortation. You did the right thing by reporting it. I hope things have calmed down for you and gotten better.

Things are pretty ok for now. Our spring break is next week. We just hope she really stays away from club activities afterwards.

Yay! A Yuki Update!!!!!

Rope Drop!! I want to do Rope Drop at MK when I go so bad, but I don't know how Steve would feel about getting up that early.
Ok, so growing up I had this Disney Sing-Along tape that was shot at Magic Kingdom. The first song was "Whistle While We Work" and all the characters were tidying up the park and getting it ready for the opening. Then they showed the Rope Drop. I didn't know until I came on the DIS, that this whole ceremony actually existed. I always thought it was just on the sing-along tape. It would be a dream since I was little to go to rope drop.

Ohh, I used to have sing-a-long Disney tapes too!!!

Yuki, I love that you used Harry Potter book releases as an example of a countdown. You are too adorable.

:goodvibes Those countdowns were so much fun at the book store.

Back to that Sing-Along tape I told you about earlier. This song was in the video. My mom loved this song and would always sign it whenever she thought about MK, especially the morning we were going there while getting ready. No one else ever heard this song, they'd always be like "What Disney Movie is that from?" and I'd say "Um, it's not from a movie, I think it's from the Magic Kingdom." and nobody ever understood what I meant. You are the first person I've ever known how knows this song. Well you and now Jen. :thumbsup2 As soon as I read the lyrics I started bouncing around and singing the song at my computer. lol. :dance3:

Hahah, I'm glad I could spread the Disney music!

What are these songs on this CD that Jen made for you and where can I get them???

It's the 4 parks, 1 world CDs that has a bunch of park and attraction music. I know you can buy it at WDW, but dunno if they sell it elsewhere.

I guess the early bird get the STITCH!!! this part literally made my heart burst with Joy!!! I was so excited that you met Stitch!! And you do look SO happy. :cloud9:

Haha, the early bird DID indeed get the Stitch! I was so incredibly happy about that.

OVER 9 THOUSAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew you'd get it!

I love that you posed for this photo.

Haha, I'm all about posing for pictures. It comes from being a cosplayer.

Your Pirate-y outfit is super cute Yuki! I think I might have to join the Pirate League when I go. Pirates are so awesome.

I was actually considering wearing a pair of red pirate knee-high socks too, but it was definitely WAY TOO HOT to do that. Well, since you're going during the fall, it might be even more enjoyable.

Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite rides of all time. I haven't been on it since the Rehab a few years ago.

The new rooms definitely look very cool. I can't wait to see the new queue area!

BEST. PICTURE. EVER.

That is all.

Awwww, thanks!!

Yuki that is so terrible! I've experienced something similar myself, and it's never pleasant. You did the right thing reporting it.

On a more happy note. You are the coolest pirate ever! :thumbsup2

What's shakin bacon?

Yes I know, it's been toooo long but it's been crazy! I've spent the last hour reading all of your updates that I missed, and, being a true diser, I took notes for comments :lmao:

1.I love the music sheet hidden mickey in TOT! It was one of the first ones I found after buying the book! We were never able to find the one in the boiler room either. Personally, I think it is one of the mickeys thats deffinetly stretching the definition. Unintentional shadows do not count!

2. I loved the story of the little boys at Fantasmic! So cute!

3. I think the only time I've ever been to a rope drop was when we accidently went to one on our 2009 trip. I loved it, but I don't think I could drag myself out of bed that early. I like late Disney nights! Good for you guys for doing it!

4. We saw the same bugs at the MK bus stop! I remember us saying how weird it was, as we didn't see them anywhere else and there were THOUSANDS! Ewwww.....

5. I have the "Four Parks, One World" cd on my ipod too! I listen to it like, every day it's my favorite!

6. I get your thing about taking pictures of ride signs for TR's they make good intro's for what you're talking about

7.I was wondering about the Space Mountain Games! We never got to try them either, we always either got there too early or it was a walk-on. Putting it on the to-do list!

8. :rotfl2: I get your Buzz Lightyear frustrations. I can never get over 4000! I just don't get how to do it! I love the ride, it's just waaaay past my mental capabilities:rotfl:

9.I loooove your picture for Buzz! Great pose!

10. Love the look you chose for Pirates league! thats such a great part of the movies! I'm excited for the new one to come out! It's gonna be different (mermaids? zombies? don't know what to expect!)

11. HA! Eliza IS a pirates name! You see, a few years ago when I was on pirates online (I miss that website :sad1:) My pirates name was Eliza, and Casey used to make fun of me for choosing a girly and not pirate-y name! Just proved her wrong!

12. I  the room for pirates league!!! It looks SO COOL! All the detail is amazing! Like in the TOT boiler room. Totally get what you mean!

13. It stinks that theyre such a stickler for girls and boys colors at pirate league. If you're paying that much, go for the red one!

14. :lmao::lmao::lmao: asian v's.....

15. I can't believe that girl! I hope you're okay

and thats all I have to say! :rotfl2: now over to Karin's TR.....

Okay, I logged on to make popcorn, but I see you had a very good reason for the delay. I am fuming! She is going to graduate?

Here she would have been kicked out of school, and arrested for assault! Please be careful, Yuki - she sounds like a psycho!!!

I hope they can keep her away from you. I can't believe she did that! What drives people to act so crazy? I'm sorry that, that happened to you once again. I hope and wish for the best for you.

Had to give Yuki a BUMP!!!!

Agreed! Bump, bump, bump! Where you at Yuki????

I'm still here you guys!!! Thanks for all your concern!

I just came back from my spring break and a visit to Montreal. I'll be posting about that trip soon! I'm so sorry for my absense. I'll have an update out by tonight for sures!

Kellybelly!!! Great to have you back here~ And yes, like a good disser, you took notes, haha!

1. Yeah, that boiler room one is hard to figure out! It seriously just looks like a black blob. Is it or isn't it???

2. Yeah, they were adorable! Totally made my day. I have more stories of cute little boys coming up.

3. Lol, accidentally. I know what you mean. On my first trip, I also accidentally made it to the AK rope drop. I'm glad we did!

4. Yeah, those bugs were so weird! So gross!

5. Oooh, putting it on your ipod! I should do that too.

6. Yeah, they make awesome intro's. Visual ones are always the best.

7. Haha, I like how all these new queues make us want to spend MORE time in line!

8. Hooray, I have a comrade in poor hand-eye coordination!

9. Haha, thanks! Maybe I should've worked harder on getting points.

10. ZOMBIE PIRATES!!!! I can't wait. I was so giddy in the theatres when they showed the trailer for it, I was almost out of my seat!!!

11. So does that mean we're Eliza's together?

12. I really should've taken more pictures in there. So little people get to experience it.

13. I know! I mean, they finally create something that boys and girls can do together, but they segregate them anyways. I don't get it.

15. I'm much better now

I should get to your TR. Karin must be back right?

Hey Yuki! I'm so glad to hear you are okay. It didn't even dawn on me that you would've gone away to Montreal. Whoops! That's me, always thinking the worst. Anyways, I'm excited to hear all about your trip!

Chapter 18. Day 4 pt.3- Stop staring at me!

I had SO MUCH FUN being a pirate in the Magic Kingdom! But would I do it again? Probably not and you’ll find out why.

Since Pirate’s League is right next to PoTC, we hopped right into line for that ride. I remember the standby wait-time was less than 10 minutes. This is another ride where Andrew asked if we would get wet and I said no, but he DID eventually get wet on it later when we rode it during the dismeet. Again, I’m sorry Andrew, I don’t really remember these things!

I loved the queue for this ride even more after I saw pictures of it. Unfortunately, I think it’s at this point when I stopped taking pictures of the signs of the rides like I had previously planned. My favourite part of this queue is the pirates that are in a chess game. I’ve never lingered around here long enough to really study their game to see if they’re actually in a stalemate, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were! Also makes me want to pick up chess again. I used to be part of the chess club in grade school so I wouldn’t have to go outside in the freezing winter recess. My avoidance of the cold outdoors is actually the reason for my joining as many activities as possible during the winter months. I learned how to knit!

I LOVE this ride. SO much. I don’t even know where to begin. I know it’s not as exciting, but that song is just infectious and there’s so much to look at and I just LOVE PIRATES, can you tell?

The Jungle Cruise was close by and the line looked super short, so we hopped into that one next.

I love this poster. So cute. I want one.
DSC00465.jpg

Andrew took some brighter photos of me while in the queue. In this next one, my eyes are open, but because they’re SO SMALL and because of the make-up, you can barely see them.
DSC00466.jpg

Made for pretty funny looking pictures though. I look so clueless. My tape ran out before we got in the boat, which is great because I didn’t want to do the switching DURING the ride.
DSC00467.jpg

Even before coming to WDW, I knew I’d be getting a sword, but I also knew I didn’t really want to keep it with me. It would just get in the way. So I had decided beforehand that I would give my sword to a deserving youngster. Well, I met one of those youngsters in the queue. He was being a very nice older brother, pushing his sister and reassuring her that the Jungle Cruise was a fun ride. I took my sword off my sash, and asked the little boy if he would like it. Naturally, he looked up at his parents. I told them that I just joined the pirate’s league (to explain my make-up) and that I didn’t really want the sword. I also told the boy that he was being so good and that I think he deserved something. He smiled and accepted it and the parents thanked me.

Boy, I love doing stuff like this. Only at Disney can I do so much of it! Makes me feel so good. Here are some more photos of the queue and the ride.

DSC00469.jpg

I’m not sure why Andrew took these next ones.
DSC00470.jpg

DSC00471.jpg

I love how sunny and bright it was.
DSC00472.jpg

DSC00475.jpg

DSC00479.jpg

I love the jokes at this area. “Don’t worry about that zebra there folks. That’s just how they sleep. On their sides. Surrounded by hungry lions.”
DSC00481.jpg

And the temple entrance. I hate those giant spiders....
DSC00485.jpg

And the elephant that ALMOST splashes you! I heard that in another version of this ride, the water actually gets you! I can’t remember which park did that...

Overall, the jokes for this ride are as good as ever. But as you all know, it’s ALL about the skippers on the Jungle Cruise. Our skipper might as well been sleep-talking. Monotone, no expression, completely inanimate and when she was shooting the crocs away, she used her hand and we didn’t even see what she was doing. It was only until our 2nd ride that we kind of figured out what she was SUPPOSED to be doing.

I’m not sure how we missed Aloha Isle on our way to Adventureland, but it wasn’t until the dismeet that night that we were told where it was. Sooo, because we couldn’t find it, we settled for getting drinks at the Tiki bar I think? It’s right behind the Enchated Tiki Room and next to the teeny little entrance into Frontierland where Country Bears is. Andrew got a pineapple float that he LOVED and I got a root beer float with CHOCOLATE SOFT SERVE! Now, that MAY sound gross to you, but it was delicious. You guys should totally try it.

Here are our pictures of the drinks. This was taken ONE MINUTE after we got it. It was so hot, everything was already starting to melt!
DSC00490.jpg

I knew I wanted a turkey leg for lunch so I headed towards the cart while Andrew tried to grab one of the rocking chairs in front of Pecos Bill, but ended up just sitting on that large ledge in front of it. Hard to describe it. It’s like a giant wooden plantar. Had lots of space to sit on top of it, with a nice shade from the tree too. It’s right across from the Country Bears.

This little spot turned out to be one of my favourite spots to sit and eat at WDW. It was nice and warm, the seating was large enough for us to sit cross-legged on it, got shade, it was sometimes breezy (because of the tree) and the Brothers came by to perform right in front of it! I don’t recall their names right now...

Here’s the giant Turkey leg!
DSC00491.jpg

See? Right across from CBJ.
DSC00492.jpg

Now comes a few photos of me tackling this giant piece of meat. It was delicious. Hot and juicy and more than enough for Andrew and I to share.

DSC00497.jpg

These look even funnier if you blur out my eyes and just focus on my fake ones. Andrew even took this video!

Oh, he took a video of the brothers too!

Yes, it’s ok to laugh. I was having a GREAT TIME. Of course, during this whole thing, it just gave everybody around me the opportunity to stop and STARE AT ME. And you know what? I loved it. I mean, I love attention anyways, so this was even better because you could tell that all the little boys wanted to BE ME. A lot of people came up to me and asked me about it and told me how cool it was!! I love being the centre of attention. Thank you pirate’s league!

Of course, I also had problems with it. My “beard” got in the way of my eating. It smudged extremely easily so I had to try hard not to get any on my turkey leg, one of the reasons why I looked so awkward eating it. The heat didn’t help either. I was starting to sweat buckets! My make-up on my nose was starting to melt a little. So here is where I learned the next two lessons. Lesson number 10. Don’t do Pirate’s League right before a meal. and Lesson number 11. Don’t do Pirate’s League in the morning. The day just gets hotter and the make-up will melt that much faster. It also taught me that I touch my face A LOT. Without even thinking, my hands would just get smudged with the black make-up. I “trimmed” the beard a bit, but it still got in the way. I also found it kind of itchy.

After my celebrity appearance outside Pecos (I got asked to take a few pictures with people!), we decided to check out the Enchanted Tiki Room since it was right around the corner. I’ve never seen this show and it has a mixed rep. I was surprised to see that the “queue” was the way it was. I definitely did not expect that.
DSC00499.jpg

I wish they had reclining seats in the place because you’re looking up most of the time and it’s straining to your neck!
DSC00501.jpg

The show was...just ok. It was a lot shorter than I expected. I don’t think I’ll be watching it again any time soon.

Showing off my bling. You can see I “shaved” off my goatee cause it made it really hard to eat.
DSC00503.jpg

After the show, we were ready to use out FPs for the two mountains in the region. BTMRR first! The FP line moved really fast and we were boarding in no time. I always forget how fast this ride actually goes! I also always want to lift my arms, but am so afraid of them being cut-off by something. When we got off the ride, the CM that helped us out of the vehicle looked me and started saying, “Why are staring at me? What are you staring me? Why are you staring at me?” HAHAHAHAHAHA. It was hilarious!!! I responded with, “Because you’re so nice to look at!” Ohhh, it was just wonderful. I love the CMs.

I headed towards Splash Mountain, hoping my make-up wouldn’t get too wet. This was my first time on this ride, so I didn’t really know what to expect! The queue is so nice and cool. I wish I had taken more pictures of it. I loved the decorations.

The ride itself, is awesome! Yes, it got really creepy near the end, but wow, what a great ride. My make-up didn’t smudge at all! I barely got wet! The drop was like nothing I’ve ever experienced on this type of ride. I always feel my stomach drop, but it didn’t on Splash. It was just a lot of fun and we grabbed an FP for later.

While outside this ride, I got stopped a couple of times by people wanting to take my picture. I love knowing that I’m a part of another family’s vacation photos . =)

During my transformation, Andrew came up with a great idea. For those of you that don’t know me, I wear glasses, but to make the most of my WDW vacation, I wore contacts during my trip. Knowing that will make more sense when you see this picture.
DSC00504.jpg

Yes, I was putting eye drops in one of my new “eyes”!!! I love this shot.

Yeah, Andrew really liked my pirate stuff.

Coming up next: Meeting the Captain

Hey Yuki! I'm so glad to hear you are okay. It didn't even dawn on me that you would've gone away to Montreal. Whoops! That's me, always thinking the worst. Anyways, I'm excited to hear all about your trip!

It's ok Jen, it just shows how much you love me! I love you too

Your pirate makeup is crazy good! I love the pictures of where you are looking down, although it freaked me out a little bit though :lmao: That's cool people came up to take a picture with you :thumbsup2

I love that you gifted your sword to someone else! That's such a great idea. Putting the eyedrops in one of your new eyes? Genius.

Your pirate makeup is crazy good! I love the pictures of where you are looking down, although it freaked me out a little bit though :lmao: That's cool people came up to take a picture with you :thumbsup2

Yeah, my eyes look so weird when I'm looking down cause you can't even SEE my real eyes. Disney is such a great place for people that like attention :thumbsup2

Great Update Yuki !!!I loved your FACE!!! How cool to be in others photos !!!!!

Haha, I love being a part of other people's vacations! I thought my face was AWESOME. Andrew still doesn't like it that much.

I love that you gifted your sword to someone else! That's such a great idea. Putting the eyedrops in one of your new eyes? Genius.

I got the idea from a thread I read a while back. A family with 2 daughters that lost a little boy to still-birth was at Disney, and the girls bought a pirate set to give to another little boy at the World that looked about 5 yrs old because they knew if they had their brother, he would be about that age. It was so touching.

I thought that idea was great. Andrew always comes up with such good ideas.

I also would like to eat at T-Rex once in my life even though I'm sure I'd be kind of scared! I do not like being close to moving creatures that are that large! However, it'd be a fun experience, I'm sure. Plus, any time I see their waffle fries in pics, I start drooling! Haha, I do love how you weren't stumped by Andrew's T-Rex question!

Oh wow! It was so fun reading about your DIS meet. That seems like it'd work out a lot better than meeting in WDW. I tried meeting up with people this past trip, but it didn't really work. When you're with family or a group of people, it's difficult trying to alter plans especially if it's crowded and you have to get from one place to the other.

Ooo, I love the Hidden Mickey that you found in the ToT library!

Howard and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fantasmic!!! It's our favorite nighttime show even though we also really enjoyed IllumiNations and Wishes. Actually the castle projection show before Wishes is also VERY VERY VERY good too! That's for this year, I believe, for the 2011 theme. Disney knows how to do these things right!

We got to MK pretty early too, but we purposely stayed back a little because I really wanted to watch the opening show! I had never seen it before. Well, my mom says I've seen it as a kid, but I don't remember it. It was worth getting there early! I think even if we get there early in the future, I'm still going to want to hang back to have a good view of the show.

When they take the pics on Buzz Lightyear, I get kind of upset because they lock your car in place. I want to be able to move to have that opportunity to get last minute shots!!! Haha. I get way too serious about this game.

Howard pointed out the dueling paintings to me last year! I pointed it out to my cousin this year. I can't believe I had never noticed it before. I was always looking down at the table to look at the 3 plates all the way to the left that make a Hidden Mickey!

WHOA, your eyes closed with the multi-eyes looks so cool!!!

Boo, I hate to see that you had an unpleasant experience that weekend!

Yum to the pineapple float! Wow, I'm surprised you were able to eat the turkey leg in Frontierland! Last week, the birds were going crazy and swooping down so low! It was so frightening!

That's cool that a lot of people asked you for pictures!

Wow, Andrew really has an eye for photography. (I'm thinking of those pictures from the Jungle Cruise queue.)

You're too funny putting eye drops in your "new" eyes. :rotfl2:

Yuki! OMG I am so sorry about what happened with that girl. That is terrible, I can't even believe it. Some people are just sick. Doesn't this girl know you have an army of friends on the DIS who will kick her booty? God. All jokes aside though, I'm really glad you are OK.

Onto your updates.. omg. You looked AMAZING as a pirate. Seriously, you rock, I love it.

That was really nice of you to give your sword to that little boy. :goodvibes

AHHHH. I can't put into words how jealous I am of those floats and turkey leg right now. I am on a strict diet and oh maaaaaaaan why am I not at Disney!!! also it's so funny to see you in that make-up eating the turkey leg. I love those videos! Thanks for posting them, seeing that totally transported me to Frontierland.

I can't wait to read more! popcorn::
