We're considering the days before during and after Easter or just waiting til the kids are out of school up here in the northeast which would be the 3rd week in June. Which do you think is the better of the two choices in references to crowds. Obviously we're trying to pick the times our kids will be least effected with their school schedules.

Man, I would be asking myself which foot I would rather cut off :rotfl2: .

The weeks surrounding Easter are as bad as Christmas/New Years, and July 4th.

If I were you, I would check into going right before the kids go back to school. If they don't get out for summer until the 3rd week in June, they probably don't start until September? The end of August is definitely the best of the choices if it's an option for you.

I have to agree with the above poster. I can't imagine going during Easter time. We've only ever gone during school & have pulled the kids out.

Although in April it is cooler than it is in June and August. The cooler temperatures can help you deal with crowds a lot easier. I would probably go at Easter rather than go in the summer.

I've always gone in November (right after Thanksgiving) and taken the kids out of school. In 2004 DS was a senior in HS and there was no problem. He just made up his work when he got back. In 2005 he didnt' get to go, since he was in college but DD is in Middle School made up the work when she got back. I like going then because the crowds are low, it's all decorated for Christmas, still warm and MVMCP is great. But that's just me. I believe that our kids are only young once and as long as they can still keep their grades up...why not have some long lasting memories!! :wizard: princess:

I vote for utterly-insanely large crowds and more moderate temperatures over slight-less-insanely large crowds and hotter temperatures.

I've been in February during Presidents Week (Winter Break in the Northeast), and several times during the summer. Personally I'd choose the more comfortable weather - which is your April time. If you don't want your kids to miss school (teachers in my family so it was never an option), you do have to go over a vacation. I think you can enjoy WDW anytime of the year if you plan it well - go early mornings to the park and then back to your hotel for lunch and pool time. In 2005 we were there the first week in August and never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride! I know that in November or September there are zero wait times and the parks are not as crowded. Good-Luck with what ever you choose. Its Disney - IMHO you can never have a bad time!
