Less than a week to go... couldn't be more excited

I'm doing a big happy dance. We are leaving next Monday, March 7th for my first Disney vacation since I was 10. We are going with another couple, staying at the MainStay Suites Maingate (a little worried about some bad reviews on this place but it will just be a place to sleep) We are doing two days at Disney (not enough I know but we'll manage) and two and a half at Universal. We love the thrill rides so I'm hoping Universal does not dissapoint.

I am a little concerned with the crowds this time of year. I'm hoping not too many schools have spring break right now. Our one hope is that it's not a busy time of year because Disney doesn't start their extended hours until the weeks after we leave. Fingers crossed for okay crowd levels.

Of course I'm sick right before the vacation, the flu and a bad cold but I'm thinking I can kick it before we leave... IN 5 DAYS!!
I can't even believe it's finally here!!

We leave Saturday March 5th. We are excited too.......the closer it gets the less I sleep. Guess I am just a big kid with all the excitement and anticipation. Seems I always have nightmares though about sleeping late, forgetting luggage, etc. Am I the only person who does this?

Oh my gosh I'm so excited I'm about to BUST! DH won a gift certificate to any Marriott hotel for $50 so I'm getting off work early on Friday and we're going to drive to Brunswick, GA and spend the night and then get up the next morning and drive to Disney and go to MK!!!! I have so much stuff to do and I want to leave work soooooo bad right now. And I feel like I'm getting sick, I'm going to go home and take some sudafed and see if I can stop it. I can't get sick now!!!!

I'm leaving on Saturday am... I don't have any problems falling asleep- but if for some reason I wake up in the middle of the night, it's hard to fall back asleep, all I can think about is that in a few short days I'll be with Mickey!!!!

OMG I can't believe how many of us are leaving so soon. We should organize a get together! LOL. We are leaving here on Friday. If we need to stop, we are sleeping in our car.

I can't wait to tell him we are going to Disney for his birthday. He thinks we are driving to Charlottle NC to go to Carowinds.

Now, if I can just get through these next 3 days of work, than I'm off for 10 days.

I'm leaving next Tuesday!!! I can't believe I'll be in WDW next week. After all this snow I am definately looking forward to going to WDW and some nice weather.

Okay with all of us there at the same time do you think the parks will be crowded?? That is my main concern?? I'm off to the doctors today since I'm not getting any better, hoping they can give me a miracle drug that will have me back to normal by monday. I just CAN"T be sick like this during my vacation.

MACFAMILY- I'm in Maine too so I know your pain, we've got to get away from all this snow!!!

PLEASE PLEASE be sure you go to the DR! I had the same thing, and we are leaving next Wednesday. I thought that surely I would be able to kick it by then.. but as I kept getting worse and worse instead of better, and could not think of Mickey only coughing, I went to the DR. I have BRONCHITIS! YUCK! He said had I not gone in when I did I would have ended up in the ER for my vacation Now I am on all these meds, but have been going in every few days for a steroid shot and he promises me I will be better in time for WDW. Not to lecture, but it is better to fork out the $ for a dr and have a great vacation! We leave one week from today and I am so excited!!! Everyone be sure to wear a lime green ribbon so I can say hello! Oklahoma has ickyweather and I need FL sun!

Well I called the doctor and I officially have the flu. The good news is that I should be better by monday when we leave. I'm just supposed to stay home from work for the rest of the week. A good friend and her family are leaving for Disney on Saturday and she just got the flu... apparently it is going around in Maine. I know the florida sunshine and the excitement will make me feel better though.
