Less than a month into DVC and I already have addonitis.

You're not interested in Riviera for Skyliner?

unfortunately no. their points charts are a bit expensive so I would have to buy a fairly large amount. and I don't like the resale restrictions.

yeah i recently got 4 nights lucky at GCV. i luckied my way to add-on-itis at top dollar. thrilled with no regrets.

same! lol
Getting lucky always depends on how strong your game is...

please explain!!
you can always get lucky at BLT but you will not get lucky at GCV except once in awhile. lots of monorail resorts and options.
i know what i would choose since home resort is an availability choice for me.
I keep going back and forth it's a tad frustrating :-(.

please explain!!

It was a double entendre referencing "getting lucky" in the sense of hooking up at a club, and the success of that proposition relying heavily on how strong your "game" (looks, dress, attitude, cash in pocket) is.

"Hey, do you think Bob will get lucky tonight at the club?"
"He could bro, it looks like he's bringing some strong game."

We own AUL, but really only bought them recently when I was able to add on 300 points for $133 a point and bought NOV 30th for my December UY (basically free double points).
You really don’t need to own AUL to book there unless you are looking for the very low cost standard view studios. Ocean view and Garden views are almost always available at 7 months out.
VGC is IMO the best DVC resort in the system. Nothing can beat a literal 100 yard walk and you are in a theme park. That being said $285 is a lot per point, but if you only use it at VGC it can make sense since rack rates are close to $800 a night.
The new BLT incentives are good, but you really have to buy 300 points to get the “really really” good deal IMO.

Ugh I wish I could get 300 points at BLT. Would be so nice. Still beating my brains out over 125points at BLT Direct or 100points VGC resale. That short walk to everything DLR is just fantastic. No other resort can beat that. Or maybe I just shouldn't get anything and be happy with my 200 AKV lol!
