I have been lurking here for a while, but finally took the plunge and decided to start posting. We are actually 49 days away from our first day at Disney World. This is our first trip to WDW as a family. I went with friends back in 1986. My DH went with his family that same year. We didn't even know the other existed back them, so we think it is funny that we were there at almost the same time (within about a month of each other to be exact).
Anyways, this will be a major adventure for us as our 3 1/2 year old has life threatening milk and peanut allergies. I have tons of information from Disney about what food allergy friendly snacks are served and where in each park I can find them. I am truly amazed by the information that they have provided. I have learned so much about the brands that they serve for food allergies and have even tried some of the stuff on DS before we go even though I know all things taste better at WDW than they do at home.
A friend of mine went with her son earlier this year and he has a long list of allergies. She came back and said that the chef that they talked to at Crystal Palace also has food allergies! How comforting is that to know! The only thing that makes me sad is that DS can't have a Dole Whip with me while we are at MK. I hope I can get him something similar close by so he isn't begging for my special treat.
