Less than $300 on a condo?

To be honest I have never seen anything that cheap. If the tax is 13% as it is in Osceola County it works out at a rate of just under $38 per night plus tax. Any owner renting at this rate surely could not cover their costs. Good luck with your search - the only specific condo site I know which is directly from owners is thebigcondolist.com but I don't think any are at the low rate you are looking for.

Try skyauction. They were running a special that ended yesterday for $199. per week + $20 admin fee. This special had been extended a couple of times so maybe it was extended again. It was one of the "buy it now" auctions.

That being said, even if you can't get that deal, the regular auctions I think are $299 + admin fee + auction bid. You might still get something around $350 total.

There are a couple of threads on this board about skyauction deal if you just scroll through the first couple of pages. We have used them 3 times and been very happy with our accomodations. Most people like Cypress Point Grand Villas, Silver Lake, and Orbit One. We have stayed at Cypress Point Grand Villas and Orbit One. Both were 2 bdrm units and both were less than $265 for the week.

$300 per week is unrealistic.

However, the person I am renting from does have some 2/3 bedroom condos at Windsor Hills for $399 week. A few days ago he had one week in August available for $399.

Here's his website.

I haven't stayed at his properties yet, (I will in August) but I've heard nothing but good things about his properties.

you are going offseason - that is good

in skyaction look for (in Florida not just Orlando) - Home & away - the amount + bid is
$195 + $20 + your bid.

now don't overbid on these things - don't spend more than $50 to $60 for your bid. Less is better.

also wait until the last few minutes to bid. (seconds if you have a fast machine)

Last week I booked 7 nights at Cypress Pointe Grande Villas in a 2 br, won on Sky Auction for $219 total. I'm going at the end of Sept. Yes, unless it's a buy it now auction, wait until the last moment. There are also some specialty auctions that are for restaurants and a 7 night travel voucher.

Thanks, I know I had read b4 on the super cheap condos but couldn't find them. I'll have to check out skyauction & the $399 condos.

You can also sign up for those timeshare promos--you get super cheap rate but you have to be willing to kill about 2 hours of time to listening to their pitch one day. (And two hours is being generous--you have to be firm about NO).

I have a 2 bedroom at Silver Lake for $166. the first week of October thanks to Skyauction. I had a $100.00 gift certificate left from last year's home and away winnings, and used it on my $266 bid for this year's condo. I still have another hundred in the bank for next year.
