...til I move to Sydney Australia! It's crazy, in less than two weeks I'll be living in Australia. To keep things photography related, here's a shot I took last year down there with a point and shoot! Just goes to prove that you don't need an expensive DSLR to take nice photos...With that said, now that I have one, I want to retake alot of those same shots with the flexibility of one.

True enough, for night shots, a tripod is more important than the camera (within reason, of course). Nice shot.

Enjoy the move - I'd probably enjoy living there for a while but I don't think it's going to happen in this lifetime.

look out for those nasty spiders Oblio has posted photos of;)

Perfect. Now I'll have a place to stay when I visit Australia!:laundy:

(Nice shot with that P&S)

When you took those pictures down under, did you have to hold the camera upside down so they would be right side up, up here??

I know, a wise guy. :duck:

Is this a permanent move??

Your assignment, if you choose to take it, is to load this board up with down under pictures.

I know my wife would like them as she wants to visit there.

And there has to be at least one picture of the water going the opposite direction when a toilet is flushed. I still don't believe that is true.

I would love to go to Australia and take some underwater photos diving the Great Barrier Reef. Lifelong dream that will probably go unfulfilled.

1st off, thanks to everyone for the comments! It's a week from Monday!

Huntsman! These spiders are ridiculous!

At this point, yes, it's a permanent move. I've bought a house and have a job lined up. As for pictures, I will of course continue to take pictures and will post them here. I'd be more than happy to share them with you guys.

Haha, to be honest, the last time I was there I forgot to check. ;) I'll make sure to this time. I haven't made it up to the GBR either, but would absolutely love to get out scubadiving on the reef. Hopefully it'll happen.

Out of curiosity, what made you decide to just pick up and move to Aussie land? I can't even bring myself to move out of the state yet.

My girlfriend is originally from Australia, and when my company got wind of that, they asked me if I'd be interested in working in a position based out of Sydney (company is in the SF Bay Area), so it was a pretty easy decision.

Other than if you are leaving family and moving farther from Disney I think the only problem is the 4 day plane ride to get there! Heheheheeee

Don't forget the funnel-web spiders in Sydney, too!! :scared1: Too much for me to handle!!

Have a great trip over. :thumbsup2
