Less talked about menu items at 50s PTC?

ahhh..my fav is the pot pie! The smores, so simple, yet so yummy!! Cousin craig was a hoot! He sung to my hubby, it was his bday, he sung so outta tune, it was so bad, but soo funny! The stuff they do makes the whole experience!!I love it! My fav in DHS!!! Hubby gets the pot roast, and dads sunday!! Soo good!!

On previous trips I had tried the meatloaf (okay) and the pot roast (very good), and I worked 7 years in a chicken restaurant, so I don't really do fried chicken anymore, so I actually ordered the steak last year, and loved it! OK I admit I'm not a steak snob. As long as it's tender, cooked the way I like it (medium), and not full of fat and gristles I am happy. And this steak satisfied all those criteria. It was served with scallopped potatoes, sauted mushrooms, and a red wine sauce... everything was fantastic! You won't be disappointed!

I would love to know how the crab cakes are or the seafood salad app.
I thought the crab cake and seafood salad appetizer was good. The pot roast and chicken pot pie was delicious. But honestly... after I started slurping my strawberry milkshake, I didn't care about the food anymore.... AND I took a peanut butter and jelly milkshake to go for dessert! Forget the food! Another milkshake please!

My Review of 50s Prime Time with Pictures

I had the salmon and it was delicious. VERY tender because of the way it was cooked and the sides were delish.

But seriously - I don't even like milkshakes that much....but the PB & J Milkshake was the best thing I have ever had to drink. It was totally gone before our entrees came out - I came very close to ordering a second one!

I really like the caesar salad...it comes with either grilled chicken or salmon. I can't speak for the salmon, but the chicken tasted fresh and very un-rubbery.

We love 50sPTC and always wait for a good ribbing. A few years back our party of 4 adults placed our order with Mark, one of our favorite CMs there. Our order was varied with a few lighter options like sandwiches. Mark said, “You are at Mom's table, and you’ll eat what she brings you,” and proceeded to bring us four plates of fried chicken, and he was serious that we should eat it! :scared1: We were laughing so hard, and having such a good time playing along, that we did as told. It was one of our best CM interactions at 50sPTC. And good chicken too.

As we usually go for lunch, the Chicken Pot Pie, Meatloaf and the Big Sandwiches are our usual picks...if “Mom” lets us!

The same thing happened to us with the same server, Mark! He is absolutely awesome! My son ordered an turkey club and Mark said "Do you think this is Subway, you will eat what Mom tells you". He then proceeded to bring my son fried chicken and told him to eat it. We too were amazed but laughing so hard :rotfl: My son had no choice but to eat it. We still tell that story over and over. Mark made it one of our best Disney memories. We went to DLR last year so the last time we seen Mark was 2010 when he sat our our table and talked with us about our last visit. He was again so funny. He did mentioned he could be leaving. Not sure if he did or not. However Mark was one of the best, we even took our picture with him. :goodvibes

Glad it was a happy memory for you too. Mark is the best-est! We've been fortunate to have him serve and entertain us several times. Didn't see him last August. Maybe just a day off...if he really did leave...OMG!

I get the Fried Chicken but change the sides to things I will eat (fries and corn). I have to get the PB&J Milkshake as my drink.

is one of our must do choices each trip and to be honest, we have never tried anything there that wasn't good. My sister and I tend to be more experimental in our dining choices and my wife always orders the chicken which we all love. I would recommend everything on the menu.

Last trip we ate there twice, once for dinner and I had the meat loaf, my wife the chicken and my sister the salmon. Everything was perfect.

The lunch menu is much different than dinner but the sandwiches are the best at the studios!

I seem to alternate between the pot roast and fried chicken dinner. Both are very good imo. We keep going back mostly because of the atmosphere and love the smores!! Looking forward to going back in September, already have the ADR!

I almost always order the fried chicken at 50's Prime Time and have always enjoyed it. My girlfriend, who rarely eats meat out of the house, had the salmon and enjoyed it. Still, I generally think it's safer to stick with the stick-to-your-rib comfort foods at this restaurant. There's a reason why the fried chicken and pot roast are the most popular offerings.

Ok now im convinced that the day i had the fried chicken was an off day, as I said, it was so salty....even my table-neighbours complained of the same thing. I'll have to try that one again!!! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and antics. Very amusing (my son thought so too!) :lmao:

We went for the first time last June, and we weren't extremely hungry, so we went with the ham sandwiches. To this day we still haven't seen a bigger sandwich, and it was delicious! I'm normally not a huge bread person, but it was great! We had onion rings and a chocolate milkshake to complete our meal, and we cannot wait to go back! We are tempted to try to fried chicken, but we're used to the homemade and specially cooked, I'm not sure if we'd like a restaurant version.

I always get the steak, and my wife gets the pot roast.
We split the onion rings with the horseradish dipping sauce, and get extra sauce for dipping the steak.
It's a first night restaurant for us every year.

I get the steak every time and it is delicious. My daughter also gets this as her meal. She wouldn't consider anything else.
