I bet you could hack the ikea doll bed into a loft. .

It would probably be pretty easy. With skills and proper tools you would only need to get some small pine wood pieces the same width/ thickness as the corner posts at your desired height and drill the dowel holes. That would make the bed taller and be the most stable. You could otherwise just strap some taller wood onto the legs, but that wouldn't be as aesthetically pleasing or stable. If you used two beds, you could attach them like I did and not put the front frame or the bed bottom on. That would increase stability and give it the look of the actual Ikea loft beds....
