Planning our priority seating arrangements for our trip in Dec, and are wondering which restaurant is better. We are wondering which of the two has a more romantic atmosphere and if either of the two has better quality food.
any and all responses greatly appeciated.

We've enjoyed meals at both. The food is good at either place but the bistro is much more romantic to me. Chefs is bright with tile floors and a wall of windows. It is a fun place to watch people walking around WS but it is a fairly busy atmosphere to me. The Bistro is upstairs and has subdued lighting and is much more quiet. We've had good service at both, too.

I've never eaten at Bistro, so I can't say anthing about that restaurant. I went to chefs de france this summer and wasn't impressed. The food was good, just not as good as some of the other French restaurants I'vr visited in the US.

This would be Bistro de Paris. We felt much mroe comfortable here on our honymoon and enjoyed the (truncated) view of the fireworks. Hopefully you'll have fewer wandering children than we experienced, but the food and the atmosphere far superior to downstairs.

Add my vote the the Bistro de Paris. We thought the food was better and the restaurant was quiet, cozy and romantic. It's only open for dinner and only on certain nights during off peak.
Let us know which one you choose.

I agree with the above posters, the Bistro is much more formal and romantic.

Keep in mind the Bistro is only open for dinner. Chefs de France is open for lunch and dinner.

I must agree with all the previous comments, but I must say that I did feel that the Bistro's menu was very limited. Decide for yourself, check out the menus for both restaurants at:

http://wdwig.com/menu/menus.htm

On one occasion we were seated at a table, in an almost empty Bistro (one other table was occupied), and after looking at the limited menu asked a CM if we could change to Chefs. Which they gladly did.

Chefs on the other hand is one of our favorite restaurants, so I may be biased.

I vote for the Bistro if romance is what you are after! My DH and I had a ps for Chefs, but changed it to the Bistro when we saw how busy & noisy Chefs was. Upstairs was sooooo quiet & the lighting subdued. Chefs on the other hand is very bright, crowded (lots of tables close together) & LOUD. Service was very very attentive. You also get a view of Illuminations from some of the window tables. The menu is extremely limited - I think there were only 4 dinner entrees. I had the lobster in its bisque which was wonderful (hard to mess up lobster!) & my DH had the duck. I tasted some of his and it was fantastic and I don't normally like duck. It was very tender & marinated in a wonderful sauce. I think lamb & veal were the other 2 dishes. This is the kind of restaurant where you may feel uncomfortable in a T-shirt & shorts. My DH and I dressed up for this dinner, but I think a few others may have had shorts on.

I too vote for the bistro, back in june we had dinner for our anniversary had a table by the window for illuminations.
The bistro is small ,not rushed and very good as a matter of fact the owner of a small french restaurant in our town was down at WDW and ate there most every night he conciderd it the only place to eat:smooth:
