We will be eating there with my PA daughter. I have seen a lot of comments about this restaurant regarding PA. Has anyone who has a PA ever had a good experience there? I didn't realize this would be a problem before I booked our reservation. Thank you.

I'm interested in this topic, too. I've always avoided this restaurant, because I was concerned about the language barrier. However, my peanut/tree nut allergic daughter wants to try it and so would the rest of my family.

We have a severe nut allergy and had an english speaking manager come out and talk with us. Never a problem. We found this at several Epcot restraurants (including Japan).

I can't comment specifically on Chefs since it has been a long time since we ate there. However I'll second the advice about asking for a manager. At Japan (Teppan Edo) the manager was very helpful...turns out Teppan Edo doesn't use peanuts in anything and he was also able to accommodate other allergies as well.

We did Chefs de France a couple of years ago with my severely PA son (also TN and shellfish allergic). He was still at the age of kids meals but they accommodated his needs. It was perhaps the only place we've been where the chef did NOT come to the table - however I thought the server seemed competent and I did not feel uncomfortable.

I think the chefs are getting fairly used to dealing with nut allergies and shellfish allergies - they seemed prepared to deal with it at most sit-downs.
