Lens suggestions

There are quite a few UK camera stores that rent out equipment, so it might be a good idea to rent a couple of primes and maybe a more compact zoom to see what feels right and what you would get the most use from.

Ive decided on the 70-300IS for sure now so I'll let you know how I get on with it in my weak wristed little mitts as well.

Oh and something else I remembered - you can buy a camera neck strap that takes up a lot of the weight of the camera. Have a look at Newpro and you will find them on there. I know it wont solve your "wobble" problem, but it might help with lugging a big zoom around!

I use the Op/Tech Pro Strap which helps control neck strain tremendously, but of course it doesn't help when I'm actually holding the camera to take a photo... which I think is what the OP was complaining about?

Yep, I just thought if she is like me and finds her camera feels heavy (especially with a big zoom on) she might find it useful - I know it wouldnt solve her original problem..:thumbsup2
