Which lens or lenses would you take...

Canon
85mm 1.8
50mm 1.4
17-40mm 4.0
24-70mm 2.8
70-200mm 2.8 (Heavy)
I also have a smaller 75-300 4.0-5.6

and last and kinda odd 100mm macro 2.8

I'm thinking the 50mm, and the 24-70mm. The 17-40 also grabs my attention for wide angle photos. What would you recommend?

Assume you are shooting full frame.

The 50/1.4 -- Yes, if you want to shoot the dark rides. Also a consideration for indoor shots, if you don't want to use a flash. (Though I personally prefer to use a well adjusted speedlite)

The 24-70/2.8 -- Yes, good walk around.

The 17-40 -- If you want to shoot ultrawide. Look at Tom Bricker's shots, he is an ultra-wide Disney fiend. And since it does go to 40mm, you can also walk around with it instead of the 24-70 at times. The difference between 17 and 24 is pretty significant, but 24mm can still be wide enough for nice landscape shots. So I wouldn't consider the 17-40 critical, unless you really want ultra-wide. It's a style question.

The 85/1.8 -- While it's a great portrait lens, and could be useful for some character shots, etc... I'd probably pass on it to limit what I'm carrying.

The 70-200/2.8 -- While it could be useful for shooting stage shows, etc... Heck, can even use the focal length for walk-around on full-frame, I'd pass on the lens due to the size and weight.
While the IQ of the 70-200 is VASTLY superior to the 75-300, for mere convenience and extra reach, I'd consider taking the 75-300, as a fairly light weight telephoto zoom -- especially if you plan on shooting the Safari at Animal Kingdom. (200mm really isn't enough reach on the Safari anyway... so I'd bring the 300 if that's the only time you'd be using a telephoto).

As Havoc intimated, it really depends on your camera, your style and what you want to shoot. If, you are using an APS-C camera, I have found the 50 to be a little long for the dark rides. With FF, it works well. If weight is an issue then I would not carry the 70-200. I am a 70-200 lover and have it with me at all times. I prefer the flexibility of zoom lenses over primes. With all the codicils, my lens lineup would be,

17-40 wide angle with other uses
24-70 walkaround
50 dark rides (with reservations)
70-200 most versatile longer lens

With all the lowlight conditions at WDW, you have the majority of focal lengths covered.

I'd take everything but the 75-300 elephant. I loathe that lens. You can always leave what you don't use each day in the room which is better than wishing you had brought it.

I would take everything but the 75-300 and macro

Just wondering what it is that you don`t like about the 70-300. I just bought the Tamron 70-300 and am quite pleased so far. It seems sharp and the VC works very good. Just curious.

Never Mind I just re-read: It`s the 75-300. Yeah I hated that one too.

I'm with the majority:
50mm 1.4
17-40mm 4.0
24-70mm 2.8

If you have the room I'd bring the 70-200 along but switching between the first 3 should capture 90% of what you'd want to capture. You have to decide if the extra weight with worth the 10% of the shots where you wish you had the 70-200.

Yeah, the Canon 75-300... people mix it up with the 70-300 all the time. For anyone else reading, the Canon 75-300 is muddy, soft, and has horrid purple fringing. It is truly the worst lens Canon has in production currently.

Just got back from Italy and here is what I took in my bag:

50mm F1.8
17-40 F4
24-70 f2.8
70-200 f2.8

I had other lenses with me, but this is what was in my sling bag that I used when walking around.
