We have planned a trip to WDW in March (17-24). Our children are 4 & 2. Is this a good length or is it too long for their ages? Thanks for the advice!

We went with our DSs (just turned)3 and 5 for nine days(we were in the parks for 7) and they did great. They wanted to stay longer. The fact that we had so much time made it easier on everyone because we weren't so rushed to see everything and we could take our time if one of them needed to slow down or take a nap

Yes we also go for on average 7 nights with our kids. currently 4 and 1 1/2. It's better to have a little extra time to not have to rush all around. Although with 7 days in March a busy time you may find you don't get to do all that you would've liked anyway.

You'll have fun no matter what. They'll be in Disney and they'll love it.

I agree - the longer the better. When we travelled with DS at 2 1/2, we left the parks every afternoon for a nap and sometimes a swim. If you know you have a week to see everything, you don't feel as manic about doing everything RIGHT NOW. DS was at his most difficult temper tantrum throwing stage, but I guess WDW gave him the right level of stimulation or something, because he was an absolute angel while we were there. [Now the plane trip home was a different story, and I'm sure the people in front of us are still talking about the screaming toddler that sat behind them].

Have a wonderful trip!

You can never stay in the world for to long. The longer the beter. If
the kids get cranky from to many parks take a break and hang by pool, go the downtown, pool hop or just relax at your resort. :wizard:

Our DD was 2 1/2 the first time we went and 5 days was too short for all of us. Second trip DD was almost 5, DS was 1 1/2. We stayed 9 days and it was great. He napped everywhere, was really no problem.. I figure this trip we'll have more problems. :hyper:

The last time we went to Orlando the kids were 2 and 4. We were there for 26 days, we got a year's membership at Disney. We spent 14 days visiting the Disney parks, taking the afternoons off to spent it at our condo swimming pool. It was great in fact the best vacation ever.

Sounds perfect. I went with my son on his first trip when was 3.5 for 5 days and it was definitely to short. This time we'll be there for 7, still a little too short for me, but all the time I could take for vacation. Ideally I'd love to go for 10 days. It would give time to do parks more than once, go to DTD and just have time to relax.

26 days?! How did you convince your kids you hadn't moved permanently to Disney World? :)

It's been 8 long year since we've been to Disney, the kids are now 9 and 11, this September we are going to spend 28 days in Orlando, 14 at Disney and 14 at Universal, Sea World and Wet & Wild. :cheer2: The kids are used to long vacations, we usually spent a month in Europe every couple of years. Their mother is from Wales. In 1997 we brought them to Disneyland Paris, their first Disney experience. ::MickeyMo
