Length of stay spans two seasons?

Hi. If you are staying at a WDW resort and the length of your stay is during a change of Disney seasons, how does that work? For example, if our stay starts during Regular Season but ends during Value Season, what season am I charged for? Are the first few days charged at Regular Season and the remaining days at Value Season?

Can anyone offer any tips on how to book this type of trip? Any tips on how to save money under these circumstances? These seasons sure can be confusing!

Thanks for any help you can provide!

You are charged the rate in effect the day you check in. If the rate changes during your stay you might want to think about spliting your stay.

Basically,if you check-in during a cheaper season than the rest of your vacation, you will want to make one reservation. If you check-in during a more expensive season than the rest of your vacation, you will want to make two reservations to take advantage of the lower rate. For example,I am going to WDW December 16-25.I will be checking-in during Value Season. The MUCH higher-priced Holiday Season begins on December 20,but I will only be charged the Value Season rate for my entire trip!It really is a great savings. :)

Keep in mind, though, that you only get the "other" season's rate for the first 10 nights of your stay. After that, it will switch to the "new" season's rate.

Here's what we did. We were staying at the ASMu quite a few years back and I was eligible for a $49 AP rate beginning about halfway through our trip. I made two reservations, one for the first few days and the second for the rest of the trip. The CRO people linked the reservations and I mentioned the situation again at check-in. We were able to remain in the same room for our entire stay but I did have to go to the desk, check out and re-check in on the date we switched to the lower rate. I did it very early (around 6 am) in the morning. It was no big deal and saved us quite a bit of $$$.

Hope this helps!

Isn't this only if you book a package?????? We booked room-only for December 19-31 (12 nights) and are paying the same $63 per night for the length of stay.
