We had a contest at work - every time you met the contest requirements, you got a raffle ticket for one of a variety of prizes.
Lemons: None of my tickets got pulled...
Lemonade: ...the prizes are taxable...
Not-sour grapes: ... pretty much any prize I would have wanted, I already own.
