My first post seems not to have worked for some reason

A very kind child at Kacee's Nursery is paying for 5 families to go to Legoland this Sunday for his birthday and we have been invited

I haven't been here since I was 13 and I was wondering what the park is like for kiddies? Kacee is 2 and is 92 cm tall cool1: just tall enough for most of the rides) and Macklyn is 4 months old.

Has anyone got any tips etc?

My 6yo and near 4yo love Legoland - we have AP's (soon to be upgraded to Merlin AP's). There is plenty for young ones to do with or without you (there are some carousel type rides). We last went in the Easter hols and the park had been improved quite a bit on last year - there is a Pharoah themed "buzz lightyear" type ride that is new for this year. If its a warm day when you go make sure you take their cossies and a towel as there is a great waterplay/fountain area in Duploland.
You can buy "queuebot" which is like fastpass, we've never done it do you'll have to enquire about how much it is.

OMG thats so lovely!! i havent been to Legoland before even though its only down the road last time i went was when it was Windsor Safari Park!! ( used to love that place)

Thank you...we have been thinking of Merlin AP's for quite some time now...hopefully this trip will let us know if it is worth it or not

My godaughter has been going since she was 2 and she loves it. She has an annual pass and is now 7. I would say that her and her sister go at least 3 times a week after school. There's lots to do and see for small children so I think you'll love it. Really little ones seem to love Fairy Tale brook.

I have the Merlin passes so we went a few months back to see Legoland. hadnt been in about 5 years and i was impressed with how it had expanded and the new rides, there is tons to do there now and you do need two days to do it properly. and it is geared more for little ones, though any age wont get bored
I paid out for the queuebot (like a fastpass) and it cost £10 per person so that was £40 for me and the kids it was a handheld device that you scrolled through on LCD screen to choose a ride and it would give you an allocated time slot. Once the time came around, you chose a different ride, but you had to get your first ride in first as it can only handle one ride at a time. I think the price is too high but of course i have been spoilt by the free fast pass system and my fault for having so many children

As a sidenote I am loving having the Merlin passes. We have been to all 4 major parks since easter, in fact i have done Thorpe Park twice and heading back to Chessington on Thursday. There is a great discount on food and merchandise and I cant wait to hit London with it this summer so we can do London Eye, London Aquarium and madam tussauds. If you live in the south east and you are gonna do these things anyway then it is a total bargain. I would say that you are likely to get more out of them if your children are slightly older and can ride more rides.

We haven't been for a couple years, but in my experience Legoland has always been the best quality UK theme park. We found the staff much nicer and more professional than at Thorpe Park/Chessington, and the food and attractions were better for families too. Have a great trip
