Legoland: when do you add 2nd day option?

Do you add it while still at the park on day 1? Or do you do it upon your return on day 2?

Also, we have a complex ticket situation. They won't balk at adding the 2nd day, right? Anyone else added a 2nd day from a BOGO ticket? We need 2a, 2c admissions and I have for the first day:

One free adult ticket
One buy one adult, get a child free
A coupon for $12 off the other child's admission.

So, the second day would be $15 each for the paid adult and child's admission, $37 for the "free" adult and $31 for the "free" child.

If anyone has had experience with adding a 2nd day from this sort of discounted situation, I'd appreciate if you'd chime in. (Probably unlikely as I am the only person who makes it so complicated to save a few bucks, lol)

I think you have to upgrade before you leave on the first day (that's how other theme parks do it). But I have no idea how they would upgrade each ticket. Is there a ticket office number you can call?

We are in the same boat.. We have two Buy one adult get one child free coupons and might want the option of coming back a second day....

Also does that second day have to be the next day or do you have like a week to use it?
