Legoland waterpark opening days crowds?

Wow- I don't know. Have they had lots of local ads for it? I am in AZ and haven't seen anything other than in my lego magazine. If you do go please post some pictures and a review. We are going in July and I am excited to see what it will be like!

I've been watching their facebook page and they have been posting great pictures and answering questions. here's some interesting things I've found out: you need to bring your own towel or buy one from the shops, they will have life vests available. They answered questions on their about height restrictions. Seems to be the best place for answers on the new water park.

Wow- thanks for the great tip audrey! I am a fan of DL on facebook but i never thought of Legoland. I will be checking that out.

This is off their press release about the new park-

LEGOLAND® Water Park Fact Sheet

GRAND OPENING: May 28, 2010

SIZE: 5.5 acres

LOCATION:
LEGOLAND® Water Park is located at the north end of LEGOLAND® California adjacent to
Fun Town. The entrance is located between the Factory Tour and the Adventurer’s Club.

RIDES AND ATTRACTIONS:
The centerpiece of the Water Park is a 45-foot-tall tower designed to immerse children in the creative world of LEGO®. The four main slides originate with this tower.

Orange Rush: A family tube slide where up to four people can ride together down a 312-foot-long curving track on an 11-foot in diameter half pipe

Twin Chasers: Two side-by-side enclosed red tube slides that stretch nearly 130 feet and pour into a wading area below

Splash Out: An open body slide that invites guests to slide 240 feet and “splash out” into the water below

Build-A-Raft River: A one-of-a-kind concept where kids customize their own raft made of soft LEGO bricks before floating down a lazy river

DUPLO® Splash Safari: A water play area designed especially for toddlers with three small slides and interactive DUPLO characters modeled after the actual pieces found in LEGO sets: an alligator, polar bear and an elephant

Kid Creek: A lazy river within DUPLO Splash Safari built with younger kids in mind

Joker Soaker: A fun interactive platform in the wade pool where kids can aim water cannons at each other as a LEGO jester model “tells” jokes as 350 gallons of water pour down upon them

Imagination Station: Interactive, educational and imaginative fun! There are two interactive tables. On one, kids can build bridges, dams and cities out of DUPLO bricks and test them against the flow of water. On the other table, they control the flow of water by creating patterns out of LEGO elements to create rapids and other fun forms. In another area, a musical water stand with a series of holes on top that squirt water allow kids to become conductor of their own water symphony as they cover holes to create new music notes.
Other attractions include two sandy beach wading areas, and 22 LEGO models including five giant LEGO friends stationed along the Build-A-Raft River, soaking unsuspecting guests.

And the water is heated too. Just thought I'd add that. There was a local news station that did a story about it. It looks AWESOME. I love that it's designed for kids 12 and under. No annoying teens running around. ;)

We were just there but didn't do the waterpark. If we could've spent another day there it would've been fun. They told me that June 4th was the official Grand Opening day (even though it opened May 28) and that I should arrive early because only 1500 guests are allowed into the waterpark. We just decided to do Legoland because I didn't want to mess with changing and bringing in towels etc.
