Do we need a Legoland touring plan?
Is it something we should research for our one day trip?
We really want to get in as much as possible (we are skipping the waterpark btw)... gearing it all towards our 5year old who is a huge lego fan!! It's all about him on this day :goodvibes

Thoughts?? Suggestions??

Thanks! :)

These are a couple things I posted in your other thread.

Get to legoland early, it will take time to park and get in the gates. Ride the coasters first thing. The lines are really bad, for the ride quality. Sky Cruiser looks fun but the wait is aweful for what it is. Coastersaurus is over in a flash. You will split up a bunch of time because in many case there are two rides paired together. One for the adults and kids, and one for the really little kid. Explore the Sealife Museum or the Miniland USA mid day when lines are worst.

Rides that are most popular are, the coasters, sky cruiser, Bionicle Blaster, Lost Kingdom Adventure, Treasure Falls, Driving School, Fire Academy, Pirate Shore Splash Battle and eating Apple Fries. They all have long lines.
There is also a new attraction coming this summer, Pirate Reef, which is sure to be a popular water ride.

LL does do Parent Swap, though I don't know the details of how it works.

Basically all the popular attraction I listed are to the right except sky cruiser which you should skip, and the driving school. I would go right, hit those coasters first and keep going around until you get to the driving school as fast as you can. Otherwise these will all end up with 45-60 minutes or longer lines. So while it may only look like 8 rides, if you aren't quick that could mean 8 hours of waiting in line.

Definitely research and talk to your 5 year old. The lines for everything are long and slow. Going to the back of the park first was really helpful but hard for a 5 year to accept walking by all the fun stuff!!! If you want to do the drive your own car and boat those should be first because the lines are awful. When we went the coaster lines didn't get longer until after lunch because they have higher capacity. We did every ride except 2 in one day but did not have time for the robotics building (you make an appt for that) and didn't spend a huge amount of time in miniland. Perhaps get your son to put all the rides and experiences in priority order and then make a plan from there. By doing back of park and slowest loaders first we didn't wait in many lines and we went on MLK Day which was busy plus they had a free ticket promo that day for locals.
