Legoland: Theme & Water Park same day?

How doable is this? We really can only afford one day. The kids really want to do a water park this time around and I was thinking that maybe we could kill two birds with one stone and do the Lego Land water park for a few hours when we go there?

We would be going in mid-June, with an almost 10 & 7 year old.

Also, is there a particular day that's better than another to visit during summer, as far as crowds?

If they are still running the deal, and I haven't seen anything that they aren't, you can add a second day for just $15.

That's a good deal! We'd have to look into that. But it's also the matter of taking another day from our limited days, plus the driving there and back.

Will this be a second trip to Legoland? You mentioned "this time around." If so, you can do both in one day. Your kids are old enough that certain sections of the park like Duplo Valley will be of no interest to them; skip the play areas and prioritize the rides you most want to go on first thing. Then, when it starts to get hot, head back to the water park. If you can, I'd recommend going to Legoland on a weekend this summer. The park will have longer hours, and the day will end with fireworks, which are an interesting experience at Legoland (they give you glasses that make the fireworks look like exploding Lego bricks). Crowds are really less of an issue at Legoland than at the other theme parks-- we were there on Fourth of July last year and found the crowds and lines very manageable.

I think it's doable, but my family isn't going to do it. That's only because we are going on our arrival date (only date that would work with our schedule) so we won't have much time to spend there. I say go right at opening and spend the first half of the day at the waterpark then have lunch and move to the park area. I recommend doing the waterpark for the first half because when it rains, it usually does in the afternoon so if it does on your visit, you can have lunch and visit some indoor attractions.
