Legoland Shuttle?

Just wondering if anyone has used the Legoland shuttle from the outlets and how your experience was? We will be at Universal in December and would like to take a day trip to Legoland. We will not have a rental car so we're wondering if the shuttle is a good idea or are there any other options to get there??

Are you staying on site at USO?

We are doing a day trip to Legoland also. I was going to do the shuttle ($10 per person, 5 of us, $50) but then had to factor in the taxi service from our hotel (RPR) to get us to the outlets. According to the taximeter, the fare is approx. $30 each way.

So, that resulted in $110 for transportation for one day at Legoland, and we'd be stuck to traveling at their designated time (leaving the park only once at closing).

Since USO has onsite Hertz rentals, I was able to get a rental car for the day only for $40. Even with gas, it is still much less expensive and we now can leave the park when we want to.

We are staying at the Hard Rock on Universal property. I had no idea that they had onsite car rental! Thank you for the tip Starbux! Only 3 of us this trip so $30 each way...now I'm thinking car rental. Although...I do like that the shuttle would be hassle free & I wouldn't have to deal with traffic..Now I'm torn...

Wow I didn't know there was a shuttle. The price is $10 roundtrip. Being able to sit back and relax is great especially after a long day at the park. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge, I guess I could take the bus to downtown then get a cab over to the outlets.
