Which one would you pick in my shoes?

Here are some details on this particular choice:

  1. We attended MNSSHP in 2014.
  2. Never been to Legoland.
  3. Family of 6. Kids are aged 5 to 10.
  4. Estimated cost for MNSSHP on the night I want to go: $316 before tax.
  5. Estimated cost for a day at Legoland: $342 before tax.
  6. We may not be back to Orlando for another few years.

I've been debating the same thing for our fall trip. We have chosen to go to Legoland. It would be neat to see a different side of Disney with the Halloween events/characters but we are early risers and I just don't think we would last long enough at the event to fully enjoy it/get our $$$ worth. Plus for the price you pay and the number of tickets they are rumored to sell doesn't make it seem special/exclusive. I have noticed a few good deals on tickets on this forum for Legoland. Buy adult, get child free. Plus the reviews of Legoland seem pretty positive for the younger aged crowd.

Considering you've went to MNSSHP before I say try something new! We always try a few new things each trip to keep Orlando fresh & interesting!

You should be able to do Legoland for $35/tax per person on a deal on this board. At $210/tax vs $316/tax for MNSSHP, it's a no brainer for Legoland. Your kids are all in the right age range (which won't be the case a few years from now), it's a new experience (unlike MNSSHP), and you won't have to stay out super late or worry about late-day thunderstorms...

I've been the Legoland twice and my family loves it (although we only have a few more years before we age out)...

I would do Legoland, especially if your kids like Legos. The park is really neat and your 10 year old is at the top of the age range for the park. Before you go, do an online search for Legoland ticket deals. We are always able to find a buy 1 adult, get 1 child free deal if we buy the tickets online before we go.

Yeah either the $35 PTA ticket, or BOGO kid free coupons in lego magazine would really cut down on the cost to legoland. My kids LOVE legos, its all they ask for anymore, so its a no brainer for us. Need to love legos tho to enjoy that park, because otherwise it is a 2nd tier park, and MNSSHP is the better choice.

Used the LL PTA ticket last week for me and my 8 yo. It was his third time there. We just LOVE that place. If you are already going to have Disney tix, the parties just don't make good value. If it's your only chance to get into MK for the visit then it would be worth it to do the party. Otherwise, LL all the way. Your kids are going to start aging out of it.

When I saw this thread title, I clicked to see one detail before I voted: The ages of the kids. Your kids are right in the prime age group. You have to a Halloween party, and might have fun at one in the future (esp as the kids are more able to last until midnight). But this is really the end of your 10yo's window to have a blast at Legoland.
But man, when I saw the title of this thread, isn't it daunting that a full day's ticket at Legoland is comparable to the party tickets?! And less than what I'm paying for my five tickets for my family of six (3 ~adults, 2 kds, and a free toddler) to attend a December Christmas party!

We went to LEGOLAND last year and it actually made sense for us to by Annual passes since there was no parking and we went for three days. Then, there was a snowstorm coming and they cancelled every thing and we hoped in the car and went (14 hour drive). We LOVE LEGOLAND. It's not crowded. You can ride the rides repeatedly. Everything is for kids which makes it fun and you don't feel like you are missing out. The mini-figure trading is a blast.

I would have to go with MNSSHP. It remains our kids favorite thing we've ever done in Orlando. There is something special about the MK at Halloween and the party is awesome. Our girls are big Lego fans but we were not blown away by Legoland. If u decide to go with Legoland look around as they have tons of coupons for the park.

MNSSHP fan here, but your kids are a great age for Legoland so I would choose Legoland. :thumbsup2

You've done the the party, the only thing that has changed is the stage show and it's more crowded.

Right now there's a deal for Legoland, kids get in free with a paying adult, so it would actually cost you a lot less.
