What is Legoland like on a rainy day? We've been to DL plenty of times in the rain and love it, but will we be able to enjoy LL? the forecast is showing rain for Friday this week, which is when we want to go.

A December several years ago it rained when we (me, DD5 at the time and my parents) were at LegoLand. It was a bit miserable for a bit, as it was a chilly day and we weren't prepared for the weather change. But, all things were still open, we went to lunch in FunTown inside and to the ventriliquist show and then the sun was out.
So, even if it rains...won't rain a lot..and you should still be able to have fun if you bring the right clothes for the sudden chill!!!
So, have fun. The LegoLand ponchos are bright yellow. I have worn them on many the camping trip since!!!

Thanks for the reply, but I answered my own question... this morning we awoke to the news report of a huge accident on southbound I-5 in Santa ana, so we loaded up and traveled down Harbor to meet the 405 and then head south... it was horribly slow-going and I tried to call Legoland to see if there were any recorded updates on the park... nothing but the standard message... and then we finally arrive at the gate to find that the PARK IS CLOSED for the day! The guy at the gate waved us in and said the shops were open, so we decided to go inside and buy something for my DS, who had been SO looking forward to this visit.

By the time we parked and went to the gate, they had decided to close the shop as well :(

Very disappointing and I am going to shoot them an email to advise them that they really should update their phone line with some sort of message. We would have never set out in that nasty traffic if we'd have known they would be closed.

We came back to DL instead and had a great day with thinned out crowds in the parks!

Boy, that truely stinks...sorry that you had such a wasted effort. Today was really a rainy day, so atypical.
If you are going to try again, and need a buy adult admission, get kid in for free coupon...I could mail one to your hotel.....

Glad to hear you had a good time at DL anyway!!! Amy
