I know the theory to avoid DL on the weekends, but we have to do something! Is legoland totally crazy on a Saturday and/ or Sunday?

I've been looking at touring plans for DL... any suggestions for LL?

Many thanks!

I'd be interested to hear feedback on this question as well!

We are hoping to sneak a day in at LL during our Disneyland trip in August. We have no experience with this park and are trying to figure out the best way to do it.

Thanks!

You can look at LL's website to see a map. It is laid out like a big circle with the Miniland area in the middle. Miniland is the walk through area where they have all the models of Las Vegas, Washington DC, etc, and now the new Star Wars area.

I have had good luck going on the right side of the park and starting with the Technic coaster then continuing counter clockwise to the Adventure/IJ area then to the Dragon Coaster and Knights tournament and I just keep going around the park until I have hit each land then you can go back and hit stuff you want to ride again. If you are really into the coasters I would try to ride back to back in the early morning because lines will build.

Going left and staring with Sky Cycle is another strategy but I just skip that ride now because the lines just get soooooo long and IMO it is not a great ride. You sit on a bike thing and go about 5 miles per hour on a track overlooking part of the park. There are so many other cute ones. I love the boat rides. I like to get an ice cream and do Miniland in the afternoon when it is getting hot and lines are long. They have an ice cream place that swirls in flavors at the front entrance of the park and there is a good snack place with healthy grab and go snacks- cheese stick, yogurt, natural cookies, juices. The pirates water play place will get super packed so I just avoid that also, but it is up to you.

I have never had a problem getting on every ride I wanted to during a day at LL even in the dead of summer. Study the map, look at height requirements, figure out what you want to do and have fun!

In general every recreation opportunity is busier on the typical weekend day compared to a weekday.

Its true for parks, the lake, baseball games, ski hills, museums...ect..

So while also true for DLR the same applies to LL.

But to give my opion on what day to go where I would rather be in a line for a Disney attractions than LL ride. It's just more pleasant at Disney than elsewhere. Also LL has some long lines and many short lines, but no FP for the long ones like Disney does.

Every visit I've had to Legoland has been pleasantly uncrowded. I've gone on several days of the week and every time it's been wonderful!

I went for the first time last Monday and Tuesday....I have to say this place stinks. It wasnt even busy and almost every popular ride still had waits of 45 mins. We got in early one of the first and got ahead of the crowd. The problem with the queues aren't the amount of people....its the rides. Each ride has terrible ride capacity per hour. The lines move really slow because most of the rides are for two people. I suggest going early and trying to do as much as you can. Oh and the food options were awful and overpriced.
