Legoland UK has 50% off their AP, down to £49.50, a whole years admission, free parking and other perks.

One of the perks is free days at other Legolands, incl a free day at Legoland FL. This alone would cost you around the price of the UK AP.

Might be something to consider if you live near Windsor and want to visit other Legolands.

Edit, even better 5% Quidco http://www.quidco.com/legoland-windsor/?ac

Thats a good offer! May co sider it just for here as girls are free amd would enjoy it. Plus a free day in florida

I am assuming this is because they haven't updated the website, however I have emailed them to ask and will let you know when I get a response.

Thanks for the terms. Fingers crossed it's just as the website hasn't been updated. Maybe they go slow whilst park is closed for winter.

I may call them as want to get pass before the season opens this year. Let you guys know how I get on.

Missed that, I expect it just needs updating but needs to be checked before buying.

So I finally managed to get through to someone at the park. The gentleman told me that the AP's office is only open at the weekends in January as a result of the current half price offer. (only affects those wanting to exchange tesco vouchers before park opens as I guess normally you can do online)

He did think that Florida would still be valid and that website was not updated but it was more him agreeing with me than actually confirming.

So now I'm stuck I've only currently got enough vouchers for 1 pass and tesco vouchers don't get sent out til February. Maybe we have to get 1 at the 50% off and 1 via tesco for £22. So frustrating.

I have had the following response from Legoland Enquiries Team:

Dear Joanne,

Thank you for your email.

The perks will continue in 2012, but we are currently still in the process of updating the site.

Apologies for any confusion caused.

If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Many thanks
Sophia

LEGOLAND Windsor is now closed for our 2011 Season. We will re-open on 16th March 2012
LEGOLAND Windsor Enquiries Team

Think, on the basis of that info, I will go ahead and buy the APs since we had a trip to Legoland Windsor arranged for 6th may anyway and we were also planning to visit Legoland Florida in August.

Thanks for posting this Wayne :thumbsup2

Thanks for posting Wayne and for clarifying Joh. We are planning a trip to Legoland in August too :goodvibes

So took trip to Windsor and picked up our annual passes for Legoland. Once again asked the girl do we get free entry to Florida - yes and valid from today.

All happy, then get home husband checking out website and it's now been updated and says you only get 50% off!!!

Kind of mad and about to send email ....

Let us know their reply. Does not sound good at all, hope you get a favourable reply.

Email sent, will let you have response. Seemingly Sophia who sent response above to Joanne didn't get the memo either.

Add me to the list of unhappy people

I have also just emailed them (my 'friend' Sophia who emailed me above) and will let you know their response. I am even more peeved because we were going to buy Merlin AP's and didn't on the basis that we would only get 50% off entry to Legoland (and weren't sure how much we would be able to use them here with us being away for half of the summer holidays). I am really, really annoyed! Plus, we used Tesco vouchers for one of the APs so, even if they offered to refund the AP costs, we woulnd't be able to get those back :sad2:

I exchanged 1 with clubcard tokens
too. Argh! How embarrassing would it have been at gates in Florida.

I know, my only hope is that they are either prepared to honour the free entry thing for us or I would be prepared to upgrade to Merlin APs if they gave us a really good deal. Otherwise, I'm going to push for a refund and just take the hit on the Tesco vouchers since we're really not all THAT bothered about Legoland UK.

Well, that was quick - I got a response (see below):

Dear Joanne,

At the time of responding to your email, after double checking with a manager, this was the information I was given, which I in turn, passed on to you. At the time of the response I was not made aware of the imminent changes, but our perks are subject to availability as stated in our terms and conditions.

As I said below the perks have carried on into 2012, but as you have seen they have changed slighty. LEGOLAND Florida has never been included in the offer to visit another park for free, but it is now included with the new 50% off entry to other LEGOLAND parks.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused to you as this was not my intetion.

If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Many thanks

Sophia

Needless to say, I am not satisfied with that cop-out response and have emailed back again, pointing out that I bought the passes, in good faith, based on the information given, since the website had not been updated. I have requested a refund of the costs of the annual pass. If they agree, I will also be emailing Tesco (with a copy of the Email trail to Legoland) and asking if they will consider refunding the voucher.

Legoland Florida was included in the terms and conditions you posted earlier in the thread, they have no clue of own offers.

I know, here is a copy of my response:

Sophia

I'm afraid that isn't good enough. As I said before, there was a specific reason for my asking and that is because we have a trip planned to Legoland Florida in the summer. You state below that Legoland Florida wasn't previously included, however, when I looked at your website and asked the original question (on 6th January), it most definitely WAS included. It may not have been included for the whole of 2011 but that is because the park didn't actually open until October.

Not withstanding the current passholder perks and terms and conditions, at the time that I purchased the Annual Passes, the website was NOT up to date and that is why I specifically emailed to ask the question. Your response suggested that the perks would continue and, since I asked specifically what the perks would be if they weren't going to continue, and you did NOT state that the free entry to other Legoland parks was going to be amended/withdrawn, it appears that you supplied me with false information. On that basis, since the Annual Passes were sold to me under false pretences, I no longer want them and request a full refund.

If you are not able to authorise this, please pass this Email to somebody who is able to.

Regards

This is really disapointing :sad2: Will be interested to hear what resonse you get Joh.

Hi all,

Here's the response I have had from Legoland Customer Services. Whilst apologetic I do see flaws mainly they seem to think there were only 2 parks when offer included 1 visit to each park yet in the terms on website in 5/1 included the others.

I think they are missing the point that staff were giving false information and that it took 2 months for them to update the website, which included more than the 2 parks that this response suggests did not.

Thank you for your email and I am sorry if you have been disappointed
with the change of one of benefits offering our Pass holders one free
visit to our sister Parks.

As you are aware that a LEGOLAND Annual Pass no longer provides you free
entry to the other LEGOLAND Parks, this has now changed to 50% discount.
Please allow me to provide you with a little back ground information on
this offer. When the free visit was originally offered we were the 2nd
LEGOLAND Park in the world after Billund. We now have California,
Germany, Florida and Malaysia opening soon. With the business growing
and so many Parks to visit the Annual Pass team have reviewed the offer.
It was felt offering just one visit a year was not as beneficial as
having a 50% discount, with which you can visit all the Parks as many
times you like throughout the duration of your pass. When you purchase
your passes at the Park the same terms and conditions on our Website are
available on the day. All our guests have to sign for these terms and
conditions before taking away their ID cards. Benefits offered are
subject to availability and unfortunately the free visit is no longer
available. *

I am sorry that when you originally visited our Website to purchase your
passes, in our benefits it stated the pass offered you one free entry to
our other Parks. You were also given this information from many staff
members, this information was correct at the time. I can totally
understand the upset and disappointment caused due to the changes to
this offer, on behalf of LEGOLAND Windsor please accept our sincere
apologies for this. We are unable to fulfil your request of a free entry
to Florida but of course you will receive 50% off as many times as you
wish to visit our Florida Park.

We do hope that you can take up the 50% offer and enjoy your visit at
our Florida Park.
