I'm planning a Legoland vacation for my family of 4, and my boys would LOVE to stay at the Legoland Hotel, in addition to visiting the theme park.
However, the prices are outrageous for a hotel stay.... 300-500 dollars a night!
I've been searching and searching the internet for some kind of discount, and can't find anything. The only discount I find is for the actual theme park tickets (buy one adult, get child free)- which is a great discount... but doesn't help me with the 300 dollar per night hotel room.... Help!

If it was a Disney hotel it'd be more than $600 a night -- probably more than that because at the Legoland hotel you get "free" breakfast, so that would mean you'd have to book club level room at a Disney hotel.

I would just keep checking on the price. They do discount rooms, but only when they have to -- thus any peak times will be expensive. However, If you can go midweek in September I see some rooms for around $100.

How long are you planning to stay? If one person buys an annual pass, you can get 10% off the hotel as well as food I think.

I am no help because I was never able to find anything better! Their prices are outrageous! For the nights I was looking for Legoland was over $600. The Polynesian was less than that! We ended up doing Universal for less than half the cost.

Yeah, the prices are pretty brutal. I will say though that staying at Legoland Hotel (in California anyway) was pretty great if you have little kids (and especially if you have a 4 y/o son who thinks that Legoland is the greatest place in the whole world). There are a lot of nice touches for families. Free legos to play with in the rooms, and also a free minifig or Mixel to take home for each person each day. A castle with a lego moat in the lobby. Free buffet breakfast everyday. Free bottled water and juice boxes in the rooms. The walk from the hotel to the park was literally 1 minute. The TV system has a lot of kids channels and on-demand shows for kids. The toilet even has a little toilet seat built in for toddlers. I think the California hotel might be a bit cheaper though, although we stayed there in early December, which was probably a low season.

When are you looking to go to Legoland? That has a huge impact on their price.

I have been following Legoland hotel prices for awhile too in hopes of a Fall 2016 trip (split with Universal). I compared weeks to try to pick a downtime. We are also avoiding the weekends because the hotel price increases by 30%+. Then last week a "Advanced Purchase - 20%off" popped up for one of my dates about 5 months out. It is the best rate I've seen for my time frame, $188/night.

I haven't found any discount codes or other deals. Never see the hotel on orbitz or other site that discounts can be applied. Just stalking their website to find a timeframe with a reasonable price.

The hotel is less than a year old, and occupancy has exceeded expectations. Unfortunately, I don't see any substantial deals coming any time soon.

We've been to the park a couple of times with the kids and they have a stay at the hotel on their list of must-do's. I'm hoping to find a deal as well.

The price is mid-$300's for a night in a standard room (you're a family of 4, so you fit in a standard) - this is cheaper than a Disney Deluxe, better, and includes an awesome breakfast, early entry to the parks, and a LEGO Mixel set for each child! The breakfast alone is easily a $100 value if you price it at $33-$33-$17-$17. They do run sales on the site, but they're never outstanding. Like 2nd day admission free, which is a little better than your buy-adult-get-kid free if you want to go for 2 days. Still worth it to stay here! Best hotel ever. Even cooler stuff to be discovered but I won't spoil it for you. :)

I just booked 2 nights at the LEGOLAND hotel at the end of August for $465. I know it's not great but it includes breakfast for all 5 of us. My children will be 13 years old (twins) and I have a LEGOLAND fanatic that is 7 years old. I am not telling any of them that we are going. We are going on a road trip that includes 9 nights at Disney and we are going to surprise them. When I was making the reservation at the hotel, I asked the reservationist what if the price goes down? She started laughing and said that will never happen.

I don't doubt that it is awesome, but we can book a night in October during the week for $105. Spring break was over $600. That's 6 times more during a busy time than a slow time! Even Disney doesn't inflate that much. Rack rate at the Polynesian at it's lowest is $508 and at it's highest is $793, for the same category room.

Our problem is that we're local and DH had gastric bypass so we wouldn't do an $80 breakfast so there is no value there. I'd love to take my son, and we may take him in the fall when it's cheaper, but I can't imagine paying more than a Disney deluxe for Legoland.

Also remember when trying to compare LEGOLAND to Disney resorts, LEGOLAND is one hotel with only 150 rooms, Disney has thousands of resort rooms. It's all supply and demand. At spring break when there are a lot of people who want to stay at LEGOLAND, of course they are going to ask top dollar for the rooms, any business would.

Be careful of those mid-week cheap rates in the fall. Legoland is usually closed during the week at that time and that's why those rooms are so much cheaper. So if you find a really good rate chances are the park is closed.

Right, but different sales models. Disney World sells rooms a week at a time so the weekend is not a big deal. LEGOLAND is still a mostly out of the way locals park. So naturally it's really busy on the weekend and holidays, and then not busy at all during the week cuz the kids are going to school the next day. It's not a huge hotel, so on the holidays and weekends it'll fill up at any price. Why not just pick a night you can go for $105? Watch out cuz LEGOLAND is closed on select days... I think Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the slow season. Maybe it's that cheap cuz it's a Tue or Wed.

We were there last Thursday/Friday. I booked our room via Tripadvisor for less than $200. We went to the park on Thursday, stayed overnight Thursday and went to the water park on Friday.

I bought our tickets using the floridapta.org link for $35/person. No one blinked an eye when I presented our tickets. We were not asked to verify anything regarding the pta. The second day tickets were $15 at the ticket window and the water park is a $20 add on. Be sure to take towels to the water park!
