Would my DDs (14 and 12) enjoy Legoland, or is it geared more for younger kids? I wasn't planning on working Legoland into our trip, but someone told us that it was a really cool place, and that my girls would really like it. Any thoughts?:cutie:

I have a 15 yo and 2 years ago we went to Legoland in Windsor, England (near London) and my DD thought it very boring as it was mostly geared towards younger kids. From what others have said on these boards, the San Diego sounds much the same so we have discounted this one from our plans this year but would be interested to see what others think.

I agree. Unless your DDs are huge lego fans then it will probably seem too young for them. You know how DL has "kiddie" rides but they are great for adults and older kids too? This isn't the case at legoland, imo. The kiddie rides there definitely feel like kiddie rides and the even the big rides feel like they are for little kids.

Not to be sexist, but if they were boys who loved/love Legos it might be worth a go, but if they've never shown a great interest, then to them it's just a park with some Lego displays and some smaller rides. We took DS (12 then) and younger siblings. He loved it, but he's still heavily into Legos.

Legoland may be a cool place, it may just not be a cool place to your daughters. Not knowing where else you're going or when, I think they'd probably have more fun at Sea World, a water park, or the zoo. Maybe just a day at the beach.
