One of my kids wants the Lego Rock Band game. I was going to get it using the Target wii game/coupon, but am wondering- do you need a guitar to play it like Guitar Hero? Dd has Guitar Hero for the Xbox, will that one work with the Lego game? Won't be much of a savings if I get it for the Wii and then have to buy a guitar! Thanks!! :)

How is Lego RB, dizneechic? My DH loves RB and my kids love the Legos. I'm sure I will buy it, but haven't heard much about it.

No your Xbox instruments are not compatible with the Wii.

The GH guitar for the Xbox MIGHT work with the Lego game for the Xbox, but we don't know for sure yet.

Thanks! Sorry, I didn't mean use the Xbox guitar for the Wii, just wondering if I should wait and get the game for the Xbox if that would work. I prefer to have the little kids use the Wii instead of dh's beloved Xbox, but...

Did you figure it out based on the chart? I know we don't know for sure yet, but you can guess.

Which version of GH for the Xbox do you have?

I think Lego RB is a COMPLETE waste of money if you aren't planning to play it as a band. SO if you only have one guitar (no drums or mic?), I wouldn't get it. 45 songs for $60? no way.

Oh, I got it, didn't realize there were drums and everything to go with those. You can tell how much I play! I mainly wanted it for my 6 yo twins, so I was looking for something easier than GH. They love that game, but can't quite master it. I was hoping the Lego version would be a little easier so they could do it. Now I'm really confused.

LOL, now you know why dh and kids got me an old Atari last year, that's my speed, all I can handle is one button and a joystick! :lmao:

We only played a few songs the day it came in, and did quick play at that, so no messing around with creating our characters or band yet. We did find it is a lot easier than regular RB, especially in "super easy" mode which for my youngest all they need to do is touch anything when a color passes (ie keep a beat) and they get credit. We only tried super easy with my 6 y/o on vocals and he got 97%-99% on We will Rock You, Crocodile Rock, and You Give Love a Bad Name having only heard one of them before in his life (and not really reading too well yet). ;) So for the younger ones I think it's great, a lot easier, without playing in no fail mode. I think if you have regular RB it's worth downloading the tracks to play for sure, but my are Lego freaks and we wanted the super easy option for when my 4 y/o wants to play with her brothers (one of whom refuses to play if no fail is turned on), so it was a good compromise for all of my crew to play together.
