Hello All-
This may not be the place for this thread, but couldn't see where else to post. Planning a trip to Lego Land with my 6 and 4 yo. DS's during our Disney Vacay in Jan. 2014. Anyone have any tips? I understand there is a shuttle that you can take from the Outlet Mall in the Disney Area-anyone know anything about that? Any tips, tricks and advice would be welcome!!

I will be in Orlando for 2 weeks starting July 9th and I am considering taking the kids to Legoland. I did some research and the shuttle leaves from the Orlando Premium Outlet at 8200 Vineland Avenue at 9:00 am, but you must be there a half hour before.

The cost is $5.00 round-trip per person, and you need to make a reservation. The number to call is (407) 238-7787. You can't just go there and buy a ticket. The shuttle is by reservation only.

The only thing that might stop me from going is the cost of the cab from Bonnet Creek to the Orlando Premium Outlet Mall. I don't drive so I have no choice but go by cab and getting to the mall by public transportation would take to long.

I purchased our shuttle tickets on the LLF website and printed them at home. It is MUCH cheaper for our group of four to ride the shuttle than to pay for the gas to get to Winter Haven and back AND pay for parking ($12 if I remember correctly).

I've also found some really good information for planning our trip at this forum. It's a photo site so there's a HUGE photo gallery to scroll through to see various aspects of the parks. I've also found info about dining, rides, touring, etc. Also, be aware that they aren't open every day- I can't remember if it's T/W or W/Th that they're closed but plan accordingly! Park hours are short, only 10-5, but depending on the time of year you go and the age of the kids the overwhelming consensus is that it's usually enough (though LLF does have great deals for a second day if you really want it). We're going on a Sunday because our trip is during the school year. My understanding is that Saturdays have lots of locals and week days have lots of school/daycare groups so Sundays are the best park days. Worked perfectly for us since I didn't really want to do UO on a Sunday. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for the info.! So it would seem that I need to figure out how much a cab would cost from SSR to the outlet mall to catch the shuttle.

You can calculate fares here: http://www.mearstransportation.com/taxi-services/taxi-fare-estimator/

We're at POFQ and it looks like it will be about $19 to the mall plus tip, each way. Then $20 for the shuttle for all 4 of us. Still seems like it will be cheaper and easier than renting a car for one day, paying for parking and gas.

And check out the hours on the Legoland website. I think during the summer the times are extended, so I'm not sure if the shuttle times are different as well.

wooow ok i just used the taxi link and it said $98 from SSR ugh maybe I should look into a rental or just nix the whole idea WOW. No clue it would cost that much.

Did you do SSR to the mall to catch the shuttle or all the way to Legoland? I know it's about 45 minutes to Legoland, so I'm sure the taxi would be way expensive. I think we're going to do the taxi to the outlet mall and then the shuttle.
