I just watched the video on their website and they mentioned that they left " the gazebo and would have a few southern belles walking around." Was this Cypress Gradens or some other attraction that they bought out?

Yes, Legoland is where Cypress Gardens used to be.

Legoland was Cypress Gardens and they mad a very smart decision by leaving the old gardens area leaving some of the history of the park.The rest of the park feels like a new park.
