Well, she just spiked a fever, my DD that is, Part of my legit. reason. ;) DH falls asleep early and sleeps soundly. DD woke up twice tonight, he heard nothing. This last time, almost 2 am here, she needed to use the bathroom and, when I hugged her, she was burning up! At least I'm awake and, can deal with this.

She's already asked me if she can go to school 'tomorrow'. This fever might explain the short 'nap' she took after school today also. :(

Then, the Tylenol (or whatever your preferred med for fever is), I know you're supposed to dose by weight rather than age and, she's little but, she would take the 2-3yo dose by weight and, she's almost 5!! She ate well today, given her usual diet so, I know she won't get sick just from taking 3 pills but, I worry anyway. :(

Neither of my kids get sick often, Thank the Lord but, sometimes when they do, it's a doosy. More often than not though, it's what we call around here a '24-hr mystery fever'.

3 days of PK and, already the 1st fever. Pretty sure Prayers aren't necessary right now but, maybe a little *Pixie Dust* for my 'princess' wouldn't hurt.

So, Thanks for being here 'late-nite' for me to vent to! :)

Sending get-well PD to the princess ~*~*~*~>

{{{{{HUGS}}}} and PD for your little girl, Kim. I sure hope she's feeling better this morning.:D

Hope your sweetie is feeling better this morning, KimRaye, and that it's just the 24 hour thing.

Chelsea gets that 24 hour mystery fever too. The first thing I notice is that falls asleep on the couch one afternoon. That night she'll spike a high fever. Within 24 hours it's gone and she's just fine. No other symptoms. It's kind of strange.

I wouldn't worry too much about giving her the 3 pills, especially for such a short time. I don't like to take any medicine and I worry about taking too much too. When I broke my ribs, I was taking the recommended dosage of Motrin which is 200 mg. When I went to the Dr. he told me to take 800 mg. Have to admit, I felt a lot better when I did that.

{{{{{Hugs}}}}} to you and dd. I hope you got some sleep last night.

I hope your little princess is feeling better this morning.

Thanks everyone. She ran the fever pretty much all day. I gave her some more Tylenol and, it came down. She went to bed without taking anymore so, I'll see how tonight goes. Otherwise, she's pretty much the same. Didn't eat much for breakfast or lunch but, dinner was better. She rested alot and fell asleep once. I have a feeling she may go back to school tomorrow. She attends in the afternoon so, I have all morning to watch the fever/appetite, etc.

Really, Thanks Again!!
