Legitimate autographed items?

I would love to get my daughter a legitimate Harry Potter themed autographed item. I first thought about J.K. Rowling and then saw a movie poster with multiple signatures and loved it. After doing some online investigation, I have serious reservations about their authenticity.

Of course, there's always ebay, but that's probably even more likely to be fake (although I have no doubt there are authentic options on there as well).

Can anybody recommend a legitimate resale source that has reasonable prices?

Maybe try and see if the individual actors offers things on their official websites? The only authentic J.K. Rowling items I've seen, have gone for INSANE amounts of money. Also, if you are just looking for items for sometime in the future, and not say this Christmas, or a Birthday that's coming up... Try researching some genre conventions to see if any will be having Potter guests. Maybe someone who is attending could pick something up for you. I go to conventions, and have met four main actors from the films, and they were all delightful. Plus, none of their autographs cost over $40 and I saw them sign my item so I know they're authentic. Please feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions about conventions.

There are definitely themed Harry Potter conventions. Generally these conventions only book the secondary characters (not the main trio). They're not always held at Universal, though. The largest one, LeakyCon, will be in Portland, OR next year.

Thanks a bunch! I think my daughter would really enjoy attending one of these, and I would too - probably not her husband or dad though so it would make a nice girls' trip. LeakyCon sounds like the best one to attend. She grew up with Harry Potter and is a major fan. Her husband couldn't believe she actually bought a wand at IoA, but she loved it. She also got a scarf but got one without the house crest on it so she could wear it with regular clothes.

I bought a wand too!!! Lol, Harry Potter has been such a big part of so many people's lives. Ive been reading these books half my life! I have some friends who teased me too.
