Leger holidays?

Has anyone used these before for a coach holiday to DLP?

Bob (Bolanette87) has, but she's gone to bed for the night. If you send her a private message, then I'm sure she'll happily answer your questions when she's next online.

Yes, they were great - very professional. They have a very good reputation. It just took us ages to get there as we were travelling from Newcastle (wouldnt recommend it if your travelling that far, flying easyjet is just as cheap)!!!

Twice last year, but I wouldn't do it again, it just takes too long, when I was getting a free holiday through Tesco's Clubcard scheme it was good, I wouldn't pay for it though.
This is what I wrote about the journeys last year
March, 2007
I was a bit dubious about the coach travel, but courtesy of Tesco's Clubcard deals it was too good a deal to miss.
Our coach left Cwmbran in South Wales, our local departure point bang on time at 6.40 am, we had a pickup in Chepstow and one at Aust services and then we were on our way. By 1.00pm we were at Dover waiting for our 3.15pm sailing and believe me there is nothing much to do at Dover Coach Interchange but we sat outside watching the gulls and it in all fairness it did break up the journey.
With the extra hour added and following a pleasant ferry trip we disboarded at 5.45pm - back on schedule, everything went well until we reached CDG area of Paris where a road traffic accident had brought the roads to almost a standstill. As time went on it became obvious we weren't going to arrive at DLRP mid evening.
Our eventual arrival time at Sequoia Lodge was 10.50pm

Outbound
Collected at Newport at 8.25am as promised and we made good time on the trip to Dover with a couple of stops onroute to stretch our legs, our crossing was scheduled for 3.15pm, the Leger announcement came over the tannoy and we all got back on our respective coaches and waited to board and waited and waited. An hour late, we were finally on our way, but the crossing was very, very, rough, thank goodness we'd all taken travelling tablets, although despite Liam also wearing his Seabands, he was ill, poor thing. The journey from Calais to DLRP was uneventful and we arrived at the resort at 10.30pm, one hour late exactly, last time we were the first drop off at SL, this time we were last but one after the SF and Cheyenne, but it was lovely to see their Christmas decorations up too, Cheyenne's looked particularly effective. Finally it was our turn and I have to say Leger do provide a very good service, the drivers go into the hotel to check you in and confirm everythings as it should be.
Inbound
The trip home was long, for some reason we had different people on our coach and we ended up going a long way out of our way to drop them off, in fact we did 4 hours straight with no break from Dover, with a group at the back of the coach complaining it was cold, hence the heating was turned up for them and just as we finally turned into a service station, Liam was ill which wasn't very nice and embarressing for him. To give the Leger drivers their due, they were fabulous, obviously not the first time it's happened as they were more than prepared with mops and buckets and they got my cases out so we could get clean clothes, but I definately won't be going by coach again and I'm quite relieved that Leger have left Tesco's Clubcard Scheme, so I won't be tempted by the offer of a free holiday.

If you've any specific questions lilacgems23 let me know and I'll try and answer them. :goodvibes

Ive been by coach before and i know what the travelling like, tiring lol

Was you picked up by a feeder coach or leger? as your pick up would be on my route (gloucester). i just wanted to know if it was hassle free with leger? are their toilets on the coach that pickup? my dd has just potty trained and its a long time for her to hold it

Not gone by coach with Ledger but did a Eurostar holiday with them. They were very, very good and very professional.

Only thing I would complain about was that I called them to find out about adding half board and tickets to Buffalo Bills to my holiday and they never returned my call despite me calling in twice afterwards and being assured of a call back.

Hi, I have travelled with Leger recently and am about to to travel with them again on Monday. Any questions feel free to PM me.......... :goodvibes

First time we had to change coaches, had a really fabulous coach for the first part of the journey very plush but then swapped at Dover, this was a Leger coach that had seen better days, dodgy seatbelts, the DVD pic wasn't good and you couldn't hear it and the loo was out of action because it had been overused on the way down to Dover, happens when there are a lot of children on board, so our driver said. It did mean that they did one or two additional toilet only stops on the way from Calais to DLP. I was surprised though to find that the coach was the same on the way back, the loos aren't emptied until they're back in the UK, but again they did additional stops on the way back.
The second time we didn't have to swap coaches at Dover, but you still have to get off. Coach was tidy enough though and the DVD player and toilets functioned there and back.
I was however a little annoyed to find that our seats, which are allocated from Calais to DLP (not in the UK) had been taken by another family because it was by the rear exit door it had more room and they had nabbed it, they said it was because the baby seat fitted better, I suspected it was because it gave the very large mother more room. :rolleyes1
I suppose I could've made a fuss about it, I don't really see the point in allocating seats if others are going to be allowed to have them.
I have to say all the drivers were fabulous, I couldn't fault them at all and I'm sure if you're little one is desperate they'd stop ASAP, if by any chance the loos aren't functional.:thumbsup2

The worse thing about the coach is the time it takes and the other people you're forced to share it with, on our first journey there was a boy who misbehaved constantly, kicking seats, jumping up and down, showing off but the piste de resistance was when he shouted at his mother "F*** O**", at which point the grandmother turned to me and said "I don't know where he gets it from", while his mother and the rest of the group laughed.

Enjoy your trip, won't be strange if you and Bob end up on the same coach.:)

Ive been to Disney with leger 4 times, using coaches and eurostar. The first three were good and couldn't fault them, however the last time we went with them (last oct). I booked a 3 night/ 4 day trip with eurostar through leger, and it was horrible, my seats on the eurostar were no where near each other, and on the last day we tried to enter the park with my tickets, and were told they were not vailid!!, when they were suppose to be for 4 days access to the parks!!, we were left hanging around for a whole day until it was time for the eurostar to depart!!!:headache:. When i came home i tried to ring leger and they told me that i could of purchased extra tickets!!...why would i wanna do that?, when ive already paid so much money for the holiday/park tickets that i thought were valid!!. They were trying to make out it was my fault, when they had advertised a 3 night 4 day holiday!. I had so much trouble from the that trip, and now i will never book with them again, i have booked through Disney direct this time. :goodvibes

However when we have been with them on coaches its been fine, but taken a long time!!.lol

were going for 5 days but my leaflet says only park tickets for days 2 and 3. I did try to buy an extra one, as a 3 day pass is only like £15 more than a 2 day pass but they wouldnt let me. So I had to pay £35 a ticket for our third day as Id rather an extra day in Disney than their tour around Paris.

It would be really funny if you and Bob ended up on the same coach :rotfl:

hmm think it was roeslyn, it was a green coach.

from the interchange was brill, drivers were friendly, toilets and drinks provided. the feeder caoch was horrible, the crew were so rude to us (we were only family with children) as nephew dropped magazine on floor and a drink. We were told not to use the toilets as its too dangerous for children, now I specifically rang Leger to ensure there would be toilets as DD is only recently potty trained and couldnt hold it.

On the way back the driver was smoking her *** in the seat and walked up the aisles checking for rubbish smoking, ok we were stood outside the coach at the time but smoke lingers and I dont like it around DD.

Our drivers were nothing like that!! Ours were really lovely and funny and friendly..... All the way round!

I would write about the toilet thing though- Thats unfair. We were told that parents should accompany younger children, but that was all.......

I did keep a lookout for you at the Services but I don't think I saw you.... Did you see me and Robert? Guy with long black hair, and a girl with pigtails and a green, brown, blue and orange striped top??

I dont think so no, for some reason I thought you were on my coach as I saw a young couple but she had long dark hair and wore it down. We were with my sis, her bf and baby. Her DS was crying a lot, you may of heard him lol?

No, I think we must have been on different coaches!! I shall upload some pics (Maybe later on?) of us and you can see if you've seen us!! ::yes::

I would also complain about the smoking on the bus- They aren't allowed to do that....
