Legal constraints on UK members

Boo hoo!!! There was me with my calculator working out how many extra points I could get with the current $15 per point off promotion and I now find out that it doesn't apply to the UK for legal reasons. I thought it seemed too good to be true - but at least there is a decent exchange rate at present.
Are there any other legal constraints that affect UK DVC members that I should know about (either positive or negative)?

I know people from the UK who have just bought into DVC with the $15 discount but they were in Orlando at the time so perhaps that made a difference. It's worth checking again

We've just become DVC Members and we got the discount. I do know that, for legal reasons, UK Members don't receive the $200 (?) incentive for introducing others.

I agree that it's worth checking again - I'm sure it can't be correct. We get the mailings encouraging us to tell friends about the $15 discount and I don't think they would send those overseas if it weren't applicable

I would check it out again as we got the discount last month
I do know that the referral bonas is only for the US members
So go and find a friend in the US

The good thing is that it looks like it is worth getting my calculator out again. I will probably be purchasing from the UK though rather than waiting for my next trip to the US.

Has anyone got any idea when the $15 a point discount finishes?

Found this on another thread
Got a postcard in the mail today from DVC that confirms the fact that the promotion ends January 20th. Just thought I'd let you all know!
BTW, for anyone else still sitting on the fence - one advantage our guide did say in respect to buying now VS waiting until Jan. is that by buying in Dec. they still have some 2006 pts. left to sell so we'll get a Dec. date and the 2006 pts. for only 1 mo. of dues!
