Leftovers

I box up leftovers with every intention of sending them with DH or myself for lunch the following day or for part of dinner the next night. I put them in the fridge and they are sit for days and wind up in the garbage.

We eat them about half the time. The other half, they sit in the fridge for a week or so...eww...

Seriously, are we married to twins? I hate leftovers, and my husband lives for them. He will save one microscopic piece of chicken.

Yep, because I refuse to eat sandwiches for lunch like DH so I eat the leftovers. We always make a bit more each night so I can have it for lunch!

Dh was horrified when we first got married and I suggested leftovers for his lunch - now he lives for leftovers.

IF (big IF) I clean up the dishes, yes, there are leftovers. If dh cleans up the dishes, he eats anything left as he cleans, lol. I'm to the point where I'm cooking with 8 in mind for the five of us but between having a 16 y o bottomless pit and dh "cleaning" the pots and pans, I can't get a decent next day's lunch!

Since I always have lots of leftovers, I do eat them a lot. (I had leftovers for dinner tonight). I used to hate leftovers, but it's better than throwing good food away.

Some meals my family says taste better the next day, like meatloaf and spaghetti sauce. My husband says my food ferments and tastes better with age. Ok, that sound gross and I really wonder if that is a compliment.
