Leftover days on tickets question

Hi -

First let me say that I received my tickets from Paramount International Travel and everything is PERFECT! Three cheers for Rosa!

Okay, now on to my question...We got 7 day PHP's. I know they say non-transferable but is it really true? If we only go 6 days my MIL will never be at WDW again to use her last day. Does it really mean that one of us couldn't use it at a later date?

It's my DH, our 2-DS's, my mom and my MIL & I all going. I'm planning on using all of our days during this trip but in the event that we end up doing only 6 days in the parks my MIL will probably never use her 7th day (the rest of us will surely go again but MIL lives in Vancouver and doesn't get to the states very often).

Of course I don't want to go against Disney policy and if we lose a day on my MIL then that's okay too :)

Thanks!

This question has been posted before and sometimes it's a topic of heated debate. Some people say it's "illegal" since the tickets say non-transferable. Others say it's no big deal, since Disney doesn't know who actually used the ticket in the first place. I would use the extra day with no qualms...it's not like I'm selling the ticket to someone else.

I agree with the previous post. I do not even have any way of knowing who used which ticket which day. My husband holds them all and hands each of us a ticket - then collects them again after we pass through the turnstiles (he is the one who gets the fastpasses). So.... I figure my 8 tickets belong to my "family". I feel that as long as they were yours to start with - no harm done. IMHO.

When we use park hoppers I do the same thing junglejane does. I don't put names on them, I just pass the tickets out before we walk through the gates. Therefore, each person could be using a different ticket each day.

However, when we get AP's, we all need to use the same one because they do a finger scan before you go through the turnstiles. AP's have names on them.
