The last time I went to WDW was in 1993. It was around the Blizzard of 1993 (Remember the snow in March!! Argh!). Since we lost some of our days in Disney, I have a ticket with one day left. My understanding is that it will never expire. Can I redeem it for a refund, use it at another time, or hold on to it as a memento as I have been?:confused3

Thanks muchly!

Go ahead and use that ticket :) The tickets from Disney do not expire. I still have a few day left on a ticket from 1992.

You will be able to use it next time you visit WDW. Their tickets never expire! :D

I have one day left on 3 different tickets from 1993 as well. When I called to find out the value, a WDW cast member said I'd have to take it to a ticket window at WDW, and they could calculate what it was worth toward a new admission ticket- park hopper or whatever.

Hope this helps. ;)

Remember, you definitely DO NOT want to turn in the ticket for credit on a new pass. The value is WAY too low.

Use it for admission itself. The last time we were there, my mom had some really old tickets. They had to give her a new pass, with the same number of days remaining. The best thing is, it became a hopper pass and she could use it at any park!

Yes, definitely DO NOT turn it in for credit. Use it for a day's admission to a park. Whatever a one-day admission was in 1993 will be about the value of that ticket now - which is nowhere near what a one-day admission is today!

So, the CM told me to use it for credit so it wouldn't be worth much and I'd have to spend more? That makes me <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4_2_5v.gif' alt='Feeling Blue' border=0></a>. Sorry I shared bad advice.

He did give you correct advice, however, it's not the most economical advice. You can get credit towards another ticket, but it's a better value when the tickets are that old to use them for a day's admission.

...if it wasn't, that would be the only park that the pass wouldn't be valid in.

Have Fun!!
:sunny:

Actually it would be. I had two tickets with two days each left before Animal Kingdom was open (they were good for MK, MGM and E). I went to the guest services window at the entrance of MK and they traded them into two day park hoppers. The CM said the old tickets would never expire and would be good for admission to any of their parks. It didn't cost me anything--totally cool!

That may have been a special type of ticket or something - or could that be for the "extras"? We had hoppers at one time that had 4 "extras" on them. We have to use the extras 7 days from the first use of the ticket.

I have some old tickets as well that I still use. I stocked up several years ago since they never expire and the price of admission gets going up, up, up.

I have tickets from 1988 that I will be using. I have been told by Disney that they will be good in any of the 4 parks.

i must add my $.02.....i WON a ticket at WDW in 1988 (or whenever their 15th anniversary was). it is good for transportation and admission to either MK or Epcot.....that was the only 2 parks they had at the time.. so, all these years later, i plan to use it. funny thing: 1 day admin. to MK is like $58. for an adult.....the day i won it admin. price??--$19!!! :jumping1:
guess i made out on that deal!!!:teeth:

Keep in mind that since it is from 1993, you won't be able to use it for admission to AK. Storm of '93? We lost time on the way home...after vacation!!!! A unique experience. Have fun!

I am really surprised that the tickets never expire. I live by Cedar Point and always go there, at that park the tickets are good only for that season. It's really cool to hear that parks want you to keep coming back.

:D
