Not a very profound question for the DIS today, but...

If you were to embroider a name on a shirt/jacket, which side would you naturally think it belongs on? Think, for example, which side you'd put a name tag on. (Assuming both sides of the clothing item are the same...nothing else on either side, or matching things on both sides.)

Like I said...not deep...just something that's been bugging me for a particular reason.

I work in a screen printing shop and we do most everything on the left. Sometimes right if there is a logo on the other side.

Left side.

I took a business class in highschool, and we were told to always put nametags on the left so that when you shook hands, your name tag would still be visible. I guess that would just carry over to embroidery.

Let's say there's a logo on both sides, and let's say on the right side that it's Adidas ;), and let's say that there's the team name on the left side. Wouldn't you think that the left side, with the team name, and by virtue of being THE LEFT side, would be where the name went?

There are HUGE problems with the company they (warmup suits) were ordered from...wrong names, wrong numbers, wrong sizes...amazing. But the team manager thinks the left side vs right side isn't even an issue. Certainly there are bigger issues in life, and if everyone has it on the same side, then hey...what can ya do. No big deal...it's just bugging the heck out of me. :rotfl:
