Le Cellier or Yachtsman steakhouse? Which would you choose and why? Thanks!

LeCellier! I like them both, but prefer LeCellier because I like that it's in Epcot and I LOVE the cheese soup and pretzel bread! YUMMY!

We at at both this last trip. At the Yachtmans Steakhouse, we had the Chateaubriand and the meat was so tender, I could have cut it with a small spoon and the flavor was ... well you had to have experienced it for yourself. One of the best meals I have had. LeCellier is a top for us every trip for the soup alone. I am in love with the cheese soup. To be honest, I have never had a bad meal at either place so it would be hard for us to choose, but push come to shove, I'd choose Yachtmans Steakhouse.

No matter what you choose, you can't go wrong. Have a great trip and good luck!

DS & I have a lunch PS at LeCellier the day we switch from VWL to BCV in August

Given that choice, I'd have to go with YS.
I like LeCellier -- but YS is a much nicer, quieter, refined place, more offering, mroe atuned to steak and the appropriate goodies. Just my Humble Opinion -- but that's what I'd pick! :)

HTH

Thanks so much for your opinions. I think we are leaning toward Yachtsman, but it is killing me not to have that cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier that everyone talks about!

To me it's like chosing between Ponderosa and Morton's of Chicago. I vote for Yachtsman Steakhouse. I was not impressed with the service or food at Le Cellier.

I love that line! It paints such a perfect picture for me to make a comparison!

I'd choose Yachtsman. It's more formal, it's nicer, more upscale, and top of the line steaks. Plus, people were dressed for dinner, not a theme park, when we visited for the most part. It was a relaxing place to kick back with a glass of wine, enjoy great service, and a wonderful steak.

You can order the cheese soup to-go and have a snack whlie at Epcot =)

Our family would vote for Le Cellier over Yachtsman....but just to add something to the pot...try the blackened steak at House of Blues...DS, who ate steak everyday of our trip last week said it was the best. Yep, he knows his steak...been eating it since he had teeth and gotta love him, tonight after biting into the steaks I grilled, he said, "Mom, your steak is still the best ever!"

Humph? Wonder what he's wanting now...

We are considering going to Shula's at Christmas...heard it is really the best place around WDW for steak.

Don't worry too much about the way folks are dressed--at either place. Fact is that you'll see scruffy folks (like me) dressed (neatly) in theme park casual at YSH.
I do think the steaks are better at YSH and they do have a decent (by WDW standards anyway) beer list. IF you go, I recommend the Bourbon NY Strip. YUM!!!!
