Right now on our EpCot day I have SanAngel booked for lunch and LeCellier booked for dinner. Should I keep it like this? or switch it around? any opinions on which is better or which meal?

That sounds fine to me. Have you checked out the menus on allearsnet? There may be something different at lunch than at dinner that you really want. Both of these restaurants are nice for either meal, IMO! Have fun! :)

I concur about checking the menus. If you are planning to eat a steak no matter the cut at Le Cellier you can do that at lunch or dinner, but if you have your heart set on a particular cut the dinner is the best bet. The menus at San Angel for lunch and dinner also have different types of dishes with some common things.

Not sure if you're dead set on San Angel, but I'd suggest elsewhere - atmosphere is amazing but the food is really lacking. Chefs de France is excellent for lunch, great menu and people watching. Le Cellier is great for either lunch or dinner, I can't say I have a preference.

Do you really want to do two sit downs in one day?? That is alot of time eating....IMHO.

That was my thought...we could only handle 1 in a day. Haven't eaten at San Angel in a long time, but Le Cellier is very heavy.

I agree. We never do two sitdowns in one day. Just too much food and we'd never try desert as we'd know there was another sitdown coming and with desert there wouldn't be room for it.

I agree with Forever 42, the food at San Angel is not that great. I do like the atmosphere but the food is no better than ChiChi's.

Le Cellier :cloud9: now that is some great food!

I do have to say after having lunch at few weeks ago at LeCellier at 11:30 am, I could not have done another table service meal that evening.

I don't know, we never have a problem doing two table service restaurants in one day, unless one is a buffet. We commonly do lunch and dinner at TS places.

The menu options are much broader then (don't forget the cheese soup!). But like others, I wouldn't recommend San Angel Inn - it's too much money for atmosphere (service and food has been so-so in my past few experiences). You might consider Coral Reef - they have a great lunch deal: $20 for an appetizer, entree and dessert. It's lovely and relaxing and our food has always been great! If you want to stay in the WS, then the Biergarten might be an option - good food and fun entertainment!

Now see,I love San Angel..I had some incredible soup there and their Carne Asada was excellent, and I'm very picky about mexican after living in San Diego for 16 years.
I lOVE LeCellier

We're very picky about our Mexican food as well, which is why we don't like San Angel Inn :confused3

We always think the food is rather bland (even the mole, one of the things I judge a Mexican restaurant by), service is poor, and the tables are too close together. The only reason we go now is because even with the traditional Mexican restaurants in Orlando, San Angel Inn is the only one that serves chiles en nogada.

I'm going back in Nov and plan to try it again. I don't think it's worth the price it charged.Like I said,I liked the Carne Asada.. I'll have to see what I think when I try something else next time
I'm making shredded beef CHimichangas for dinner tonight because I miss my mexican chains in San Diego so much

This I completely agree with. Plus, I haven't done the carne asada, so they may do that well.

I'm looking forward to hearing what you think in Nov, if I still remember by then. :)

I'm not too keen on San Angel either- but my opinion may be jaded given I lived in Tucson for a while and had lots and lots of authentic Mexican. I also can't recommend Chef's de France- way too much money for mediocre French food imo.

I like the idea of Biergarten for lunch if you are set on 2 TS meals in one day. The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is fun. I agree with what some other posters have said, I think 2 TS meals in one day is too much- and if you decide to pick just one for the day LeCellier would be my choice.
