Hey there all you LeCellier fans! We booked in Jan. for my DS' s Bday dinner, that is where he chose. However, the only time avail. was 7:40. He wants to see Illuminations... is this cutting it too close? We have other younger children, so we are not the type to sit and linger, but we don't want to be chowing down either. We also have concierge level...can they ever do anything better if this will not work? I'd appreciate to hear what you think.
Thank you!

I'd say you are cutting it a little too close. DH and I had a 7:40 reservation last time we went in May and we waited about 15 minutes to be seated, so we didn't make it out in time for Illuminations. I would just keep calling back and see if they can move you to 7ish. Good Luck!

For 9pm Illuminations a 7:40 reservation is pushing it, in my opinion. We waited 20 minutes beyond our ADR time for a total of 40 minutes beyond our check in time to be seated. Then our meal took almost 2 hours. The service wasn't very good on our trip in June. Slow, dishes not being removed, water not filled, etc. I've seen people who have had great service but still report a 90 minute meal. I'd say you need to allow for at least 90 minutes IF you get seated on time.

Even WITH an ADR we usually have a good 20 minute to half hour wait! I don't understand that system at all but I guess it's not really a reservations but just a hold. Helen

We ate there in April (during Spring Break time) and had to wait almost an hour and unfortunately missed Illuminations. I believe our ADR was for around 7:30 or so. We were able to catch the able to catch Illuminations the next night though.

Our meal was 90 minutes and we waited almost 40 minutes last January. We originally had 7:40 ADRs and managed to switch them to 5:20. They did tell me that we could leave our table and go watch Illum and then come back in for dessert if we ended up with the 7:40.

Thanks everyone, that does it! I really don't want to cut it too close. It sounds like there is usually a wait to be seated...I'll keep trying to switch the time...it is DS's bday and I don't want to rush but I know he really wants to see Illuminations.
Thanks so much!!! :)

We were just there on Saturday.....

We had a 7:10 ADR, and by the time we were seated and served.. we ended at 8:50.
The table next to us sat down at 7:50 - with a 20 minute wait, I believe.. and were upset, because they were not even served dessert by the time we left. There is no way they would have made illuminations.

I think that 7:15 is the latest you would want.

I am just about to ring for my ADR at Le Celliers for January also, what date are you going?? I was trying to decide what time to book also ,we want to catch the Illumations too. But it sounds like I may not have many oprions. I thought January was meant to be fairly quite, and you can't get ADR time already, sound like its going to be busy!!

We booked LeCellier for the week of 1/27...I could get ADR's at Cinderella's Royal Table, but not the times I wanted for LeCellier. Go figure....

To break this down....

With 3 courses, 1.5 hours is pushing it. 1.5 hours allows for the order for each course to be taken, presented to the kitchen, cooked, served and eaten in 30 minutes.

Less courses will obviously take less time.

We were just there in August and we had excellent service. We had an ADR for 5:00 and we had a five minute wait (and it was free dining--very busy). We had our complete dinner finished (4 adults, 3 courses) in an hour or so. We did feel a little rushed, and perhaps they were trying to move people quickly because it was so busy, however, we didn't want to spend any more time than necessary having dinner. It worked out very well for us. We had very attentive service, and the food was fabulous! :)

I would say one hour. We love the food. I hate the cheese platter as an app. It is very bitter to me.
