LeCellier Steakhouse the most coveted 1T ADR in Epcot's World Showcase and we were about to have our much anticipated dinner. How exciting to have scored an ADR at only 2 months out. It pays to keep trying.

I've dined at LeCellier a few times and most recently in Oct with my husband for his 60th birthday celebration. Our plan this evening was for me to have dinner at LeCellier for my 60th birthday at about the same time as his. Our 60th birthday restaurant
Even though he couldn't be there except in spirit. DS would be with me. Silly I know but with the ADR at the same time it was working out well.
We arrived early for our 7:30pm ADR. Signed in at the podium and was handed a pager. Before settling down to wait we were wisked to our table.

I always get the same table. Sure enough there we were being shown to that "terrible twos" table again in the Province of Quebec section. Except this time I didn't mind sitting in the same seat at the same table. Drink orders were taken. Pomegranate Lemonade with a splash of real ice tea and lemon on the side. Our server was warm and friendly and wished me a Happy Birthday and Peter a Congratulations on his graduation from high school. Looking over the menu I decided to order the same entree I had in Oct. I chose the coveted "Le Cellier" Mushroom Fillet Mignon.

Filet mignon with wild mushroom risotto, covered with white truffles and herb butter sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection. The risotto was ok. Overall everything had too much salt. Overpowering. It didn't matter I ate like a convict.
At some point my server (who shall forever remain nameless) asked me why I was taking pics of the food. She didn't ask the gentleman at the next table just me. I explained that I'm a foodie and like to share them in my trip reports when I get back home. She stated that she didn't like it when people posted pics of servers and mentioned their names on the boards. She went into great detail about a particular incident at which time my eyes glazed over and all I could think of was "Let me eat please while it's hot!" Eventually she took a breath and I was able to explain I had no intention of mentioning anyones name and I wouldn't even think of taking her pic.
Peter ordered the NY strip steak topped with bercy butter and served with Gruyere Yukon Gold Potato Gratin. I didn't notice the bercy butter. The gratin was so small I didn't ask to taste it. I did taste his steak and it was very good. Cooked to just the right temp. All was very filling even though it doesn't look like it would be from the pics. It was! I only wish they'd added a little vegetable and cut back on the salt. We ate like convicts
Then it was time for dessert. We ordered the Chocolate "Moose" and the Passion Fruit Sorbet.

Always thinking about the next photo op I envisioned my sorbet would be served on a special Happy Birthday plate as DH had in Oct.

Oh well, it was refreshing. The passion fruit sorbet was topped with a sugar glazed lime. A great ending to a meal.
We very much enjoyed our dinners and will certainly go back someday when it's 1T once again.
