We plan to eat dinner one night at LeCellier for our upcoming trip. I have menus printed out from wdwig, and noticed that some of the steaks are "finished with arugala butter"? I know what arugala is, but can't imagine lettuce in butter. Has anyone had this, and if so, can you explain the flavor to me?? Is it good? Otherwise, I guess I could order the steak without it...

Also, does anyone know if they will substitute a different side from the one listed on the menu?

Thanks in advance!

I've had the NY Strip there, it was very good, I can't remember butter on it, it must not have been too much.

You can substitute another side, I substituted the mashed potatoes for the yukon potatoes.

Or you could ask for the butter on the side, if that is possible. I am also not sure what it would be like - but I will find out in December when we are there for my birthday dinner. Can't wait.

Hopefully someone else will know what it is like. Le Cellier is very popular and many people have eaten there. I am curious, too.

I had it on October 4. The arugula was under the meat and over the garlic mashed spuds--flavor was good, slightly bitter, not overpowering. It was great with the spuds and added color to the plate. The description on the menu seemed odd, but it was an excellent meal. They are quite flexible--if you have any doubts, ask for it on the side or not at all.

Enjoy!
